Making A cheap Kydex Press (plus my first sheath)

Today I wanted to try my hand at making a Kydex Press. Pretty much everything I used was stuff that I had in my shop so I didn't have to purchase anything for this build directly (other than the Kydex). I hope y'all enjoy the video and possibly learned something from it.

Sir I would like to know why everybody uses eyelets to hold the kydex together. Will rivets not work. I'm not found of the oversized look with eyelets. Thankyou great video as always. God bless.

My first kydex press I built didn't have hinges at all instead I used 4 550lbs toggle latches. One on each corner, once tweaked to the right tightness it worked better than the one I used hinges on after. So now I use toggle clamps only. I do suggest you use actual thermaform foam that's adhesive over kids floor mats as the floor mats aren't heat safe

even cheaper and easier is no glue and no hinges. just clamp it on
four sides

with these mats, it did eventually leave imprints. You can get actual Kydex sheath/holster press foam from Holster websites. Here is How I made a better version of this press:
