I guess this must be the small copper mountain, as it is far away from the famous "Great Copper Mountain" that was in full production for 600 years, before running dry and the operations company diversified to other activities. They mentioned float collectors in the video. This will be a hydrophobic chemical (think hydrocarbons) that attach to the copper. The air bubbles into the system will catch the float chemicals and take the copper to the surface.

As for getting rid of acidic tailings: You simply send it down the river. Very slowly. The process is closely monitored. Not a single fish will die. That's AFTER they extract valuable minerals from the tailings. The video showed you how they deal with the tailings pond. Try paying attention.

The ball mills are basically a giant rock tumbler. Ore and water are spun in the mills while softball size metal balls crush the ore down to size.
The copper concentrate is smelted and usually turned into copper rod.

Waste product (ore with minerals removed) goes to the tailings impoundment. It's a slurry of process chemicals, water, and dirt.
