I would love to buy a Screedemon but I don't own a single Milwaukee tool/battery/charger and would not invest another $2-300 for a battery and charger kit just to power this tool. Is there an option for alternative battery use? Would a battery adapter work?

what is best for overall jobs a 14 or 12 screed?
A 12 is what we use the most. Any bigger and it can be unwieldy, any smaller and we often opt for hand screeding instead.
