  • This video will give a detailed review of the “envelope generator ecosystem” in the Behringer System 55 modular synthesizer. In particular, we’ll be looking at some interesting use cases creating complex envelope shapes using multiple 911 envelope generators and the 911A dual trigger delay module. These complex patches allow you to move beyond a basic Minimoog patch.

    Thank you for a great detailed tutorial, well paced and no annoying 'fluff' or gimmicks. I am learning a lot from your videos.

    My goodness, this is one of the best tutorials I have ever seen. Thank you so much for your detailed explanations and examples! Do you have any reading recommendations for deeper study? I'd love to work progressively deeper into this kind of territory. Cheers!

      @monodux Thanks! Great question.
      BTW, I'm sure you noticed the jewelry hand was front and center on the thumbnail.

      The ARP manuals (esp 2600) are also really great references. Check them out at this link for the Alan R Pearlman Foundation:

      @@ozhalljr LOL I did notice that. Quite a beautiful image I must say. I really appreciate your "ecosystem" approach here. So many ways to get things done. And thanks for the links, both on this and the Arp! I'm ready to study more. I don't always absorb theory and principles when I'm just fiddling around... Thanks for your work!

    Those splitters work pretty well with trigger signals. Nice variety and I really like your instrumental examples

      Thanks Tony! This one was long, but I needed to cover a lot of ground on this topic.

      That's one link. Amazon has them in multiple colors but they're more expensive ($8? vs $5). (and thanks for commenting!)
