how do we fix our powerplay?
I'm tired of hearing that Petterson needs wingers. You don't pay a guy 11.5 mil a year that requires all star wingers for him to come online. That is INSANE. Great players drive play regardless of their line mates. With that said, Petey clearly is not that guy, he is being exposed right now and does require his wingers to carry him, how pathetic. But put him with Joshua and Garland for now and hope they can get him going.
Mark my words, this contract is going to haunt us.... He needs a stern talking to to bulk up and hit the gym in the offseason and hire a skating coach
Let’s just buy that excuse that he needs wingers. Then what about his powerplay production at least be elite on the powerplay where you are playing with the best linemates If he was just elite on the powerplay that would be enough to win games.
The pressure on EP is insane. It's hard to perform when you're under immense stress. It's not a coincidence performance slipped as soon as he signed for 11 mil.

You have no idea, guy has an entire province watching him critically, multi millions of dollars on the line for his organization, team mates (friends) counting on him to perform... It's a pressure and stress that would ml send most people to a psychiatric ward.
You act like Vancouver is the only market with passionate fans. Do you think it’s easy playing in Colorado? Or Philadelphia? Or ANY other Canadian market? If you can’t perform, rip up the contract and take less money.

Desmith needed that last game against jets and demko needed more days off. Its sad but desmith or silov is not the answer. Anyone who is not blind or in denial can see that. Hopefully tocc and ian clark sees it before its too late.

Stop playing Petterson at centre. He is less stressed at wing. He appears to be unable to handle the immense pressure of winning faceoffs and playing elite defensively, along with being creative offensively. Get the freaking puck on the wing and shot the crap out it!

We played well, ep40 has to start scoring, but the team looked good 60 shot attempts. One thing I’ll say is at least Petey is hitting and playing decently defensively

Petey needs more for sure. But as a team we played well it was I was alluding to. The third period was a showcase the only thing we didn’t do was put the puck in the net, I feel like it’s coming
They played worse since the all-star break. Why? They had some really good games but you can see the offense disappearing at times. Players like Garland and Joshua stepped up, leaving you think..what if?? the others get going, they'd be unstoppable. Things change and injuries. These are pro guys, they can adapt, because they have to.
Canucks need to stop fucking around and play the lotto li e together all the time.
I kind of don't like Tocchet making excuses for Petey "he's a young guy..." etc. No he's not!? How old were Toews and Kane when they were winning Cups with the Hawks?? They were Petey's age. He should have his game sorted out to a respectable level by now and know how to get himself into the right headspace. No excuses.

I honestly wish and hope toch just straight up and go and talk to Petterrson privately and just say...cmon dude you gotta pick your game up man, this is getting ridiculous, you're supposed to be the best player on our team and you're paid the most, you really have to pick it up, not having any points in ghe series is one thing but you didn't even register a shot thd last game! What is wrong with you?!?! You're better than this we know it because we've all seen it! So whatever you do just go back to the elite player that you can be because the way you're playing now is nowhere near what we all expect from you!
