      Ricnes Alliance That's fair enough, I'm not sure who I listen to the most, probably BT but the Roots discography is some next gen shit man. Niggas been in the game for almost 20 years and still manage to release classic(s) in recent years

      ***** Try listening to his projects in their entirety, but tbh with DOOM it seems like most people that enjoy listening to him absolutely love that underground or OG Hip-Hop sound. If you got time try listening to MM FOOD, Madvillainy, Born Like This, DOOMSDAY & Take me to your leader. I love every one of those projects especially lyrically, that's the reason why I'd put DOOM up there as the most consistent MC of all time. As for Black Though, the Roots discography is just filled with too many undeniable classics

    • @GQSam1
      @GQSam1 Před 8 lety +1

      +MusicIsAWayOfLife123 Idk there are a couple of DOOM projects that were iffy for me. Still a great MC. I still don't like his collab w/ Bishop Nehru. But then again that might not count because that album seemed like it was Nehru ft. MF DOOM. I think DOOM's best projects are Madvillainy, MM FOOD and Operation Doomsday. JJ DOOM was kind of a miss for me..

    I'd add OutKast to this conversation, since they never put out a whole heartedly whack album. Some albums are subjectively better than others, I've never seen any album that they put out as full on bad.

      @@thomasnelson5758 Idlewild is nowhere near bad imo. It’s incredibly solid but solid just seems jarring because all their other albums ranged from great to down right masterpieces and also because it’s their last album. OutKast really are the most consistent artists in hip hop. 5 great-amazing albums, one solid one, one great Big Boi album and 2 solid ones after that, an amazing run of features from 3k and his beautiful and overlooked EP he put out, “Look Ma No Hands”.

    • @TheInfinitify
      @TheInfinitify Před 8 lety +51

      +Rohan Mishra So Kanye changes his sound up multiple times and he's punished for that? 808s shifted the whole genre and told rappers they could sing. T-Pain did the whole auto tune thing first but Kanye did it to perfection. And whether you like him or not, 808s inspired Drake heavily with his whole rap-sing style.
      I get not liking the album but you can't deny its impact. And I don't really like Yeezus but it definitely achieved the sound it was going for and was something new. I'd rather that then have Kanye make the same sounding album over and over.
      Talking consistency though, CD had that signature soul sound that inspired a hell of a lot of today's artists. LR expanded on that with a darker tone. Graduation ushered in the end of the gangsta rap era and killed 50 cent. Not to mention MBDTF...

Plus i'd argue that about 75% of everything he puts out is good, other than that, I'd say jay z, future, big krit, currensy, I could name more but im kind of going off the quantity more than quality.
