    As easy as this is, there's a huge difference in the flavor of the steamed/baked flan and a gelatin one. The steamed/baked one is creamier, denser and sweeter while the gelatin makes it taste like jello pudding instead which removes the signature creamy texture of the leche flan. Even so I might use this as a last resort method on making it.
