Hanami: Cherry blossoms in Rome and in my sketchbook 🌸 Sunday at the botanical garden

- Hi there! In this video I take you to the Rome Botanical Garden. During one weekend in April the Botanical Garden was hosting an event to mark the blossoming of the cherry trees in the Japanese garden. There were a lot of activities, many things to do and see (Kamishibai, Shodo workshop, Bonsai and Ikebana exhibitions among the others). I spent a Sunday there and had so much fun! Inspired by the time I spent there I then started filling my sketchbooks with different ideas for a final illustration.
Among the materials I used to paint and draw in my sketchbooks:
Talens gouache, soft pastels (Sennelier, Schmincke, Jackson's, Cass Art), coloured pencils, Caran D’Ache Neocolor II, Pentel Fude Pen.
The sketchbooks are handmade by me :)
Not pictured in the video: the amount of time I spent trying to succeed at least once using a Kendama for the first time and the lovely people that after teaching me waited with extreme patience for me to succeed. ♡
