Hard to tell, video is never super precise tool for this as line (start) alingment is often skewed by the position of camera that is most often not directly behind the line as then cameramen is then disturbing the work of line judges.
@@petesherwood5450 Well, it is not easy to say for anyone who was out when you are line judge, just look at the line on the start from the angle of camera when we mark it in red right on the very start, here is the link: prnt.sc/GYov9_ijjKVz But of course, possible mistakes happen every event, that is something it is expected with many numbers of races through several days. Judges have wind, sun or rain often causing issues to your eyes after days of event, and this was day 4 so... :)
@@SailboatRC I'm not passing judgement on the PRO, I just think Ken Read was VERY lucky to get away with that one. A very risky start when you consider there are no boats right beside him forcing him to cut it so fine. Your illustration has the start line drawn at the windward edge of the marks, are you sure the start line is not defined as the centre of the marks?
