- Is Tirana worth visiting? 🤔
Hey there,
You’re invited to join us as we share our First Visit to Albania and explore the country’s capital city, Tirana.
We enjoyed two full days in this AMAZING city and can honestly say that Tirana far exceeded our expectations.
So, what is Tirana like?
In this video, we’ll take you on a relaxing journey through the city and show you some of the popular Tirana attractions.

Tirana Airport Bus Stop
The Tirana Airport Bus that connects to Tirana International Airport has services departing the city right around the clock every hour on the hour. We’ll point out to you where the bus stops in the city centre.
Pyramid of Tirana
We visit the ‘Pyramid of Tirana’, originally built as a museum in honour of Albanian dictator Enver Hoxha, which now serves as a ‘Monument for the People’. One of us takes a walk to the top to check out the views.
Bunk Art 2 Museum (Bunk'Art 2)
We visit the former top-secret nuclear bunker and give you a glimpse into what you can experience if you decide to visit.
Dinner at one of Tirana’s Best Traditional Restaurants
We share our dinner experience dining at what we now consider the Best Restaurant in Tirana.
Our Tirana Hotel
We stayed in a family-operated boutique hotel just few minutes walk from Skanderbeg Square, and the Tirana airport bus stop. We also show the AMAZING breakfast we were served each morning.

So, Is Tirana worth visiting?
By the time you finish watching our Tirana walking tour, you’ll understand why our answer is, “ABSOLUTELY”.
And finally, if you’re asking, “Is Tirana safe?”, from our personal experience, we would say yes, it is generally safe, but as everyone has a different perspective on what ‘safe’ means, we’ll leave it to you to do your own research and decide for yourself.

Tirana looks like a lovely city. Those museums look very interesting too and I can see why you recommend that hotel, with a breakfast like that I'd be recommending it as well. Another great video. ❤
We really enjoyed our time in Tirana. It offered so much more than we had ever thought it would. Yes that breakfast was AMAZING. We didn't need to eat lunch after such a great start to the day! Thanks for watching!

Fun fact: Australia's Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is with origin from Albania, his family first migrated to Italy and then later to Australia. Albanese in italian means Albanian. We hope you'll come back for a second visit in the near future.
