Will be doing this very route in August. Thank you for the "preview" and I cannot wait to get there.
Make sure you stop in town! And take note of the old tin cup hard line (in the video) and the easy route which is to the left.
@@SeizeTheDaydream Will do...thanks for the advice!
That is a crazy water crossing
That was a nice video ! First one of yours I’ve seen. I’m subscribing. PS. I hope it’s ok I ordered a 2024 Badlands Bronco 3 weeks ago. lol
Broncos are great! Just be careful if you do any rock crawling with the IFS! Congrats!
A bronco?!?! 😆
Years ago my wife and I ran Tin Cup in early July and couldn't get across at the top. Too much snow. Had to walk the last half mile or so that year. We were in an '03 F150 with a mild lift. Ran across an old timer in a BONE STOCK 80's Wrangler with street tires going up! NO LIFT! He was on his way down. He laughed when he saw what we were driving. Really cool dude! Beautiful place! Fly fishing Mirror Lake is awesome, too! But I've never caught a side-by-side!
That’s crazy! We couldn’t get across imogene in Aug once!
Beautiful country.
It really is!
Hello! Just watching your video for about the third time now. I’m wondering about the real rough spot around the 7 to 12 minute mark. You are on the downhill section from the pass to Mirror Lake (at the 5 minute mark), so the rough section must be the Old Tin Cup Pass trail mentioned in Charles Wells Guide to Colorado Backroads book. Is that right? I’d like to do this trail, but I have a stock 2 door (2014 Sahara, which I just got - my first Jeep!), and the book describes the trail from St. Elmo to Mirror Lake as “Moderate.” I think I might have to skip that rough section (!). 😂 Thanks for the video - looks like a lot of fun!
Yes! That is correct! The normal way will be fine. We have drove both ways. I’m glad you found it useful! Have fun!
Nice video!!!
Thank you!
I have been able to make it up there with a VW bug. Takes experience in mountain driving Getting high centered of too close to loose soil are bad things.
Good way to tear up good metal.
I had to laugh at the music as I used the same song for some of my ads for the store :-)
Yep! It drives me nuts! But not willing to pay for music yet. Hopefully you can bear with it. Ive been turning it down more and more as I learn.
@@SeizeTheDaydream ya its funny because it does drive a person nuts, but its also catchy
You have a winch. Use it.
Watching your videos is like living the dream, what animals are those ???
Marmots! They are so funny! There are some on the Silverton/animas forks video as well
@@SeizeTheDaydream thanks ♥
How deep was the mirror lake crossing. Im thinking about taking my Ram up in a couple weeks, it looked just deep enough for me to ne slightly concerned.
That was mid June and a truck went through it. Make sure you watch where we went. A local told us exactly where to drive. Joel stayed a little too close to shore on that last part and went over a rock.
Good video, be even better without the music.
I know! The struggle is real.
