      @@Brennagonxavier Typically yes, but we’d have to see the lock you have now and a picture of the inside of the door. You’ll need to remove the door panel in order to do that and email us the photos. However, if the safe is one of those with an override key behind the lock then no.

      @@01rcpena Thanks for checking in. I tell everyone these seem to be another level, in a good way. We’ve had a couple shipped to us from Sturdy to deliver to their local customers. They have so many security options to choose from, you can order an absolute vault powerhouse. No thrills & very commercial looking, but you’re paying for security. I get it.

    Owned a Browning PRO Steel for a while. What a disappointment. Over priced, over rated, and underperformed. Thin steel all around. When I purchased the tin box I had no clue as to what I paid for. I feel for the name. Shame on me.
    Never again.
    Exposed welds at the hinges with krinkles, says VERY THIN STEEL. Typical Browning. Hey, look, it is shinny and pretty. How can Browning use metal so thin and call it safe? No thank you.
    Nothing against you guys. Browning produces pretty, not security.

      @@arrowbosmith Thanks for jumping in and sharing your feedback. Like every manufacturer , they have different levels of safes. There are lighter weight entry level models and all the way up to their TL-30 rated model. This video showcases that almost middle of the road for their lineup, as far security and fire. Most of the popular names we’ve all come to know do this because everyone has a different need. From “I just want to keep kids hands off the weapons” al they way to “I need to store a $100k collection”. Do you recall the name of the model you purchased?

    • @arrowbosmith
      @arrowbosmith Před měsícem

      @@A1LocksmithofTexas NO, I do not recall the model. I paid $1500 for a 500 pound safe. One day I looked at it, and the side looked funny. I pushed it, and the side flexed. I put it up for sale. Bought a 1200 pound safe for $900.
      The Browning was a tin box, Maybe 11 gauge top to bottom. The safe I purchased was built with 1/4" walls, 3/8" top and bottom. And the door is 3/8" and reinforced.
      I know not everyone can afford a top of the line safe. But my GOD, the BS of gadgets, and pretty, to sell a tin box is sad. They don't make them like they used to. The security part has gone out of the window. Pretty, lights, racks, and holes sell. Keeping your valuables safe is not the selling point. Cool and pretty are Brownings selling points.
      JMHO after owning and visiting different showrooms. More pretty, more gadgets, more money.
      What gauge is the metal on YOUR personal safe? I hope it is not 11 gauge or thinner. Sheet rock does not make a safe, safe. Mfgs use sheet rock as weight to say, it is heavy.
      Again, JMHO.

      @@arrowbosmith Wow, 1/4” walls and 3/8” top & bottom plate is really well done. I don’t know what safe manufacture has that, but again well down. I actually do have an 11 gauge safe, it’s 1,115lbs, so I’m curious if what you had was 11 gauge, I guess at $1500 depending on when you bought it, it could’ve been. You nailed it, not everyone can afford a high end, but that’s understandable. I try to make is a point in the videos we make to explain the gauges of steel, I would typically “this safe is 11 gauge which is good, not great. It’s not a bank vault.” Everyone has opinions and experiences, so I’m glad you shared your’s. Never know when you’re gonna learn something from someone else.
