Bro watch the full video, she goes on a rant about how they don't factor in EQ (they're literally ranking IQ 🤣). Which for anybody that doesn't know, is basically how empathetic you are. Literally nothing to do with intelligence lol.
To be fair her IQ is still 112 according to this video, which is still firmly above average. And if they asked everybody the same questions I doubt any of the others said they were the dumbest, so this result was inevitably going to happen to someone. This result honestly doesn’t speak negatively about her character or intelligence IMHO.
The little dance she did while listing her accomplishments gave me second hand embarrassment.

It's fake. Based on the way he acts, anyone would've drawn the same conclusion about him, which the rest of them actually do. What should've tipped them off that the "experiment" was designed to be an upset was when he mentioned having an ASVAB score of 94, meaning he's like Matt Damon in Goodwill Hunting. He's a statistical anomaly. In other words it was set up from the start to embarrass the college graduate participants, and Maria's so-so IQ just happened to play into that. Also, she never actually implies that he's dumb, only arrogant.

God my best friend had a boyfriend who was always just such a know-it-all. Every time he tried to stump me with some question or piece of information and I got the answer right or showed that I knew more than him in some capacity, he would act so surprised. I'm like yeah dude I'm smart too I just don't feel the need to go around making sure everybody else knows it lol. I'm secure enough in my intelligence to keep it to myself unless it's asked for.

Obviously they took some online IQ-test where everyone scores over 100 so they don't need to feel dumb but if you take a real IQ-test the average in USA is about 97-98 and she would probably be in the 80-90 range = casual dumb. And it all checks out, dumb people are just too dumb to realize they are not very smart, so she of course ranks herself highest.
I tested my IQ when i was in the Navy and scored a 127. I’m just glad I would have been placed above her too 😂

@@101perspective I saw this whole clip awhile ago, but in that, they give a brief summary about themselves. She rated that guy at the bottom solely because he was in the military. She went on a huge demeaning rant about how she doesn't believe anyone in the military is intelligent, and how she is so great. So when it's revealed he has a much higher IQ than her AND is last, it's extremely satisfying. It wasn't just based on looks, it went deeper, but I understand why you would think that given just the short clip.

Its true though, they aren't. It is extremely difficult to determine one's level of intelligence without involving knowledge, which is NOT the same thing as intelligence.

@@lamp9105 I mean most phycologist agree that it's not exactly the best metric for determining intelligence. Yea, naturally intelligent people do tend to do better at the iq test, but it's possible to improve your IQ score which kinda defeats the purpose.

EQ is a total bs, recently made up psychometric. It was popularized by a journalist. To this day, there has not been any substantial amount of actual evidence that backs it up. It's not real.

I can tell when someone is lying, and can usually pick up on body language things most people miss, but I'm unable to do anything about my own idiosyncrasies. Grew up getting stuck in a lot of advanced classes very young. Most of us had high scores but didn't adapt to life well. An IQ doesn't translate directly into knowledge or abilities. It also didn't help that they hyped us up, telling us that our gifts really would make life easy for us. Lot of kids crashed real hard.
I wish I loved myself a fraction of how much she loves herself.

I have worked in labs with people like her, there are worse characters to work with.
