    I believe a about 5 years ago, I had a Bigfoot sighting.
I was on my way home from a Pike fishing trip here in Northern Idaho, in the summer of 2018. I was driving in my 78 Ford F250 that I call Ole Rusty Blue. I had my bass boat in tow, so the truck and trailer made a lot of noise on the gravel road. I had my young fishing buddy “Jon” with me. He is in his early thirties. It was about 30 minutes after it was fully dark, so about 10 to 10.15 pm and it was clear, but there was no moon that nite. I had turned onto the road I live on "####" Lane which is a private dead-end road about 00 miles East of ########, Idaho, in the "###" valley. The road is about one mile long and has one 90 deg corner in it. There are about 5 houses on it that all set back far off the road quite a ways in the trees, so almost none are visible from the road. As we came around the 90 degree corner we saw a set of red glowing eyes about a 1/4 of a mile down the road.
We both commented at the same time how far apart the eyes were for being so far away. The eyes were large and looked to be 7 to 8" apart and about 8 ft or more off the ground. As soon as the headlights hit whatever it was, the eyes blinked. The eyes looked at us for about 4 to 5 seconds, and then we saw the eyes move quickly sideways about 3 feet. Like the thing had taken a sideways step to the right, or like it was watching us with its head turned while taking a step forward. It stopped again for about 5 to 7 seconds, and then the eyes turned to our right and left the road. Since we were traveling towards it at about 30 MPH, I'm guessing it was just out of the reach of my headlights, and we were about 600 ft from it when it left the road. It was heavily wooded in that area, so you could not see more than about 25 feet into the trees. I looked for tracks the next day, but I didn't know the exact spot it was at, and I couldn’t see any tracks on the very hard packed dirt road.
Even though I had a video camera with me, It all happened so fast, I didn't even think about trying to film it till after it was gone.
I also checked Google Maps to get an idea how far away it was to where I think it was standing in the road at and it said it was 1393 ft when we first saw it and 681 ft when it left the road.
I can’t swear what we saw that night was a Sasquatch, but I can’t think of anything else that makes any sense either.

Back in the early 80’s when I was a little girl, my Grandparents took me up to see Mt. St. Helens. We parked up at the view site and hiked and stared at the destruction of the Eruption a few years before. We stayed until it was nearly dark and we’re the last vehicle leaving. There was a truck that started out of the lot and headed down the mountain about 1 minute ahead of us. We started down the steep and windy mountain road with no sign of any other people or cars. We made it 1/3 of the way down and saw tail lights ahead in the darkness. It was the truck, something must have made them stop. As we pulled up behind the idling truck, it moved forward over some kind of bump in the road. As it drove on, we saw that the bump they drove over was a Street Sign that was laying lengthwise across both lanes. My grandparents were concerned about why it was there and that they had to move it to avoid damaging the car. My Grandfather got out and drug the sign to the side of the road. As we continued driving we saw tail lights ahead again, but the truck just slowed down but didn’t stop. As we came up to where we saw the truck slow again we saw Another street sign laying across the lanes. My grandfather stopped and talked with my grandmother about how strange it was and they wondered if there had been some sort of accident. We all had the creeps but my grandfather got out and started dragging the sign off the road again. My grandmother rolled her window down and so did I. We wanted to hear grandpa as he called out down the mountain “Hello? Is anyone there?”
We heard a crunching sound through the silence. It was coming from just down the nearly Vertical slope off the road. He called out again and then there was another crunch, like something big was taking a step. We heard more crunching and what ever it was was getting closer and faster. My grandmother screamed at my grandfather “Tommy Get it the Car! GET IN THE CAR!!” Meanwhile the sound of crunching kept coming up the side. He ran and jumped in the car as we rolled our windows up!! We tore out of there as fast as he could drive and as we sped off I peaked up over the backseat and briefly highlighted in the red of our tail lights I saw the shape of what I thought was a Huge Man!! I screamed and screamed and told them I saw something!!
We got to the base of the mountain and found a gas station and had the Clerk call 911. The clerk said that a couple in a truck had stopped and reported that street signs had been snapped off at the base and later across the road too. Everyone was all worked up about it (which being a child terrified me because I’d seen what ever it was, but they all just thought it was my imagination)
A policeman came and talked to my grandparents and then said he would be back. We waited a long time. When he got back he had a really strange look on his face and told us at first he didn’t see Any signs laying on the side of the road where we last saw them. But he noticed a crooked sign and when he inspected it he found that his was not where it should have been standing and that it had been jammed into the dirt upright. He said he could see that it had just been snapped off and had no markings of being hit by a vehicle. We were all dumbfounded. I wanted to talk about it all the way home. I had a Billion questions, but they barely said anything. They were unusually quiet.
It wasn’t until I was a few years older that we talked about it and I said that I definitely saw something and wanted to know what they thought about Bigfoot? They lit up and said that’s exactly what they had talked with the policeman about, but that I was too young and they didn’t want me to have nightmares. They wanted me to think that what I saw in the red glow of our tail lights was my imagination instead of a Real Living Beast that almost got its hands on us. )

This documentary is right on. What a great film. You approached all aspects of the Bigfoot phenomenon with respect and vigour. It's hard to tackle the paranormal side of bigfoot but also keep it a grounded hominid species thats related to us. Truth is, we dont know as much as we think we do. Any supposed DNA testing I've heard about was all either known animals or fraudulent in nature, e.g. hair from elk dyed with artificial hair dye, deer hair soaked in brake fluid.
Nobody has to hide anything, all that is required for science is proof.
It's a relatively straigforward process, scientists are naturally equistive, they don't all work undercover for the government dismissing proof to fit some agenda..
1000s of youtoobers out there on a daily basis filming everything and anything hunting for Bigfoot, but as of yet all these years later there's no evidence, just excuses.
Some that are so dumb, like they make themselves invisible.
This kind of tells us they can't possibly be real of this kind of crap is used as an excuse.
By using this logic you could claim anything is real, t-rex is still out there but he makes himself invisible when he wants, and therefore can't be photographed.
Proof of food source and habitation for a creature doesn't mean there's one living there.

Why is it that there can be a search and rescue for a missing human, or a manhunt for a criminal, and their tracks just stop? Even dogs lose the scent sometimes. Is that the woo?
Why does 99% of the stories and videos show that Bigfoot's only strategy is to run away itself, or run the human off? Where is all the woo with the overwhelming majority of sightings? What about encounters like The Battle of Ape Canyon, or The Siege At Hanobia, or even The Legend of Boggy Creek? If they could cloak or perform supernatural majic, why do they go up against guns using nothing outside of the natural world? Maybe you think we should just forget the 99% of the encounters, because they show Bigfoot is just a natural animal.

      @Donklebergg Před 4 měsíci

@@AFloridaSon my personal opinion is that I believe there are some things in and around our world that we straight up can’t even begin to understand fully, and if presented with the reality and an explanation we still wouldn’t be able to grasp what the hells going on with it. So while I reserve the right to my own ideas and beliefs, I still do my due diligence to keep an open mind with something that we currently don’t have the official answers for. It’s anyone’s guess, and until the day the reality and truth of the matter is uncovered, nobody gets to say that what they want to be the truth is in fact the absolute truth. But again, at the same time everyone has equal right to believe what they believe. Just don’t shove it down other peoples throats or shit on people for not sharing your same ideals.

    I backhanded a Bigfoot.
Before you call me crazy or a phony, let me tell my story. When and where, summer 1991, Tioga pass between 7000' and 8000' on the Yosemite side of the pass. I was 17 and camping with 2 of my friends. Three teenagers in a two man tent. I was on the outside pressed against the wall. I grew up in the Sierras and living in Tahoe, I see black bears on an almost daily basis, even in winter post 2000s. Back to my story, it was early morning and the sky was just barely lighting, maybe 4:30 AM. I was awoken by something brushing up against the tent, nose by my waist and it was sniffing something in my jacket pocket. A half eaten Snickers bar. My freind on the other side of the tent said in a hushed whisper, dude! Dude! Bear! Whatever was sniffing froze. I boldly stated 'shoo bear' semi loudly and firmly swatted the creature with a prompt backhand. Whatever it was stood up and ran away, the first several steps shaking the ground we were on. It did not step in the river nearby which was 3-4' wide at that point. We both froze and my buddy said 'that was no bear' we were too afraid to even open the zipper for over an hour. Maybe 6am before anybody grew a pair enough to venture out. We found no footprints not that we had any way of documenting any discovery we may have found. We had packed up and left before 7:30 continuing our drive into Yosemite national park.
I'm used to bears and we had strung up our food about 12-15' off the ground near the car, but I had forgotten the half finished candy bar in my jacket pocket. I was using my jacket as a pillow until 2-3am when I got cold and put my jacket on, otherwise it might have been sniffing right near my head. I'm probably the only person to ever deliver a backhand to a Bigfoot.
