Girlfriend you must have been reading my mind😂. Editing and thumbnails are why I procrastinate. And looking at the back camera isn’t my cup of tea. Thank you for saying it like it is. You’re so right I’ve watched so many hair videos with poor lighting and no intros because I liked the information. I know I ramble but some people will like your authentic nature. We are definitely our biggest haters. I’m just going to upload. I’ve even seen people with vertical videos with over 20k views. I think we over think ourselves out of million dollar ideas because of the lack of self confidence. Continue to be great!

Good advice again. My plan is to do 1 a week for now. Write on Tuesday. Film Edit and Post on a Wednesday. Then research in between. Film and Edit on my phone for simplicity.

I love how you constantly mention "what best fits someone's situation". I'm yet to start uploading but I'm definitely posting once every 2 weeks just because I need time to finish my thesis. Adding that to the fact I'll be traveling a lot until January 25, I need to make sure I'll be able to post when I start. Not posting for a month or so looks really bad imo.
I feel like recording some videos before hand so I have stuff to post even if I can't record. Trying to plan better the videos will probably help me reduce the edit time...or so I hope.
Yes we have to do what works for us in the moment. Posting every two weeks is so much better than not posting at all. But I see you making progress already with your planning. You got this!❤️

I found myself feeling this SAME pressure ! About editing, to the point I realized I can’t be someone I’m not and so for my last video, I didn’t script it and talked more freely. However, it is very discouraging to feel you put your all into it and only a few views, BUT then you reminded me why I watched certain content creators in the beginning which was them being straight and to the point!!

**New Subscriber** I appreciate this video because I thought my videos weren't doing well because they were not edited, so I began doing that, however IDK what I was doing. So my video sat and sat and video ideas were put off because I still had the other video I needed to learn to edit. Also, in the candle world, so many other people are doing that already, but it is what I am passionate about so I'm doing it too, but I oftentimes think I am not interesting enough as well. I edit to make the process go faster when creating. I'm a nail creator an I speak right as I'm doing it in the moment bc I feel I can connect better in the moment. However, the voice over may be my best option. I'm a faceless Channel an a nail Creator/artist. I'm a bit of a perfectionist when editing. 😅

Hi Elodie (your name is so pretty and unique), the difference is that with talking videos you only need to edit what you say. But with vlogs, you’re editing what you say and what you do in the video to make sure they both coincide. There’s just a bit more effort that goes into editing a vlog. Hope this makes sense.
