    Love your video's and like to see more. Bit reluctant to buy stuff because of the risk of import taxes when shipping to the Netherlands (Europe)

      We don't have a video on that topic yet but it would make for a great one. I'll tell you a couple of ways that we go about it in the shop.
      1. Free Hand - Locate the center of your hole and use a spring loaded punch to mark it. The mark will center your drill bit. Use a fresh bit and clean up around the hole wo there are no burs that will damage your wire.
      2. Use a handle bar drill jig. shop.revivalcycles.com/lsl-handlebar-drill-jig/ These will give you a 5mm pilot hole that you can go up as needed.
      In the shop the guys will use either of these two methods, often while the bars are mounted so that the clamps hold them tight and they can be certain that the positions are correct for the switch angles.

    The ground on my 1999 r6 off of the reg rec goes to the fuel sender, cooling fan, and fuel pump. All 3 are super weird. Is there a place to start the search?

    What if we mixup the stator wires. Im running a 5 wire regrec. Thanks.

    • @RevivalCycles
      @RevivalCycles  Před 4 lety

      No worries, if you don't get the three stator wires mixed up it won't hurt anything at all.

      @@RevivalCycles by thats what im asking.
      All three stator wires are of yellow color. All three of em. So it wont harm anything if i just attach them with whatever regrec wires?? Leaving out the power and ground.

    So the the alternator needs the battery to generate power? I don't think so.

    • @RevivalCycles
      @RevivalCycles  Před 3 lety

      It does if it's a field excited stator which requires current from a battery to excite the field coil creating a magnetic field order to generate power. 🖖

    • @alxazar
      @alxazar Před 6 měsíci

      Are there many motorcycles that don't have a permanent magnet alternator ? Cause if so you would probably see at least 3 extra wires for the exciter coils to get power, not seeing many of those... @@RevivalCycles

    Mosfet are better because they controlle the amount of power produced (not just dump it to ground (and create heat)) Also a modern fh020aa shindengen putsout 14,2V max less then 14,4V max for 4 cell LIfepo4
