How to Transcribe Rhythm (3 Step System)

The other day I was looking through my CZcams comments and I saw someone asked this question...
"Could you share your method of transcribing rhythms?"
I thought this was a great idea because I've had students tell me that sometimes they feel like they're just "guessing" where rhythms land.
Here's something you may not know about me...
As well as being a bass player I also arrange and transcribe music for other artists and musicians.
I use a specific 3-step system (which I'm going to show you today) to accurately transcribe and write rhythms.
So whether you're playing syncopated funk grooves, blues shuffles or heavy rock this method can be used in any genre and with any bass line.

@JazMoss yes it did. It helped to remember the subdivisions and name them. As Ive mentioned b4, if I have breaks in my learning I have to revisit again so never go forward. The more I learn it the better to naturally hold it in my head.
The 16th subdivision sounds like Reggae just sits nicely within it.
The argument I have is that it was technically impossible for Jamerson to do “ain’t nothin like the real thing” plucking with one side of his finger, possibly done with the nail side?????
