Croc 2 Is Surprisingly Good? [Review]

Croc: Legend of the Gobbos was... okay. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. It was a pretty average 3D platformer. After reviewing it, I decided that it wasn't worthy of being called a hidden gem. But Croc wasn't ready to quit his video game career just yet! Not too long after the release of Legend of the Gobbos came Croc 2. The original game fell short of being a hidden gem, but will the sequel suffer the same fate? That's what this video is all about. I hope you enjoy!

This game is horrendous. Which sucks because I loved Croc 1. Thank god for save states on emulation, because having to redo an entire level because of terrible camera/controls is brutal.

I don't disagree with you that Croc 2 is successful in achieving themed variety while keeping to the scope of its gameplay, setting it apart from the repetitiveness of Croc 1. But artistically, the first game has a lot more to say, with its surreal landscapes and bosses. I think it's a lot more memorable.

When I first beat the game as a kid I thought the egg being taken was a setup for croc 3 where croc would've to fight a dark croc raised by baron dante, but turns out its just the setup for three shitty puzzle levels after you 100% the game, always disappointed

I'm quite fond of Croc 2. I also liked the first game despite some major flaws that held it back, but I think I prefer the second game as a whole
