This is MY song. My husband was my sweetheart since I was 15. I am 49 now. He left this earth Mar 24, 2022. I heard this the first time while eating dinner...alone in a packed restaurant. I listened to this on replay for 45 min on the drive home. Than you for singing it so beautifully for me and so many others that need to hear it.
Trisha, thank you for this song. Not a day goes by that my mother touches me through food, music, crafts. I miss her so much she was my best friend and I'm grateful and thank God for the time we had together. Another song that reminds me of her is "26 cents" by The Wilkinsons. I played it for my mother while she was still alive and after she passed when I returned from deployment I found a card from her for my birthday with 26 cents taped inside saying "you know what this means, love mom". It's framed and hanging on my bedroom wall. I am who I am because of her. Thank you, PAL

This song is so beautiful, although it makes me cry every time I hear it (but hey, a good cry is healthy and needed occasionally)! I believe the lyrics (and choice of instruments and melody) capture how we all must feel when we lose a loved one, I know it expresses how I feel. Thank you so much Trisha! Ps.
