- Watercolor Zinnias was a first for me, and so much fun! Thank you to the subscriber that asked for these. I used bright colors from my Lightwish palette, I was so pleasantly surprised with these they had SO many different colors, 88! What I was surprised by is the colors were really unique and I can travel with these since they are smaller and have every color i would ever need. Im a lazy artist so that's a win for me. lol

📜On PAPER, I’ve used Meeden and Artisto for many years, and you’ll see me use one or the other in most of my tutorials.
If you prefer 100% cotton - Meeden paper suggestion is 100% cotton, has a really great texture and is finer grade. My Artisto paper recommendation is student grade, handles lots of water, (still good for wet on wet) and is a bit less expensive.

Unfortunately artisto pads are difficult to get Uk and when you try it’s very expensive and have to wait month so don’t think I’ll ever get to try them … have baohong/meeden but I’d like more like sketchbook type and haven’t found the right paper for that yet
Yes, So I have heard I love the MEEDEN as well, they are my #2 pads I use. They are fantastic for wet in wet. I list them as a 100% Cotton alternative to the Artisto. Oh my goodness! A must have pallett for me. I have never had neons and the kid in me says Bye me! Bye me now! I have some 100% watercolor paper but I'm now in love with Artisto. Also those matelics look so interesting, and all the new colors will keep me up all night. I also like the price. I'm sure my grate-grand kids will love them too and it's nice to know they are safe for them to use. Love the flowers they are a must for tonight. Thank you. Hugs.

Right Ann? I have had these sitting in my pile since last year! I cant believe I didnt try them before this last week. They are the most unique colors. I originally was going to gift them to my GRanddaughter, but I forgot lol! And now I think ill keep them. Ive never played with neons. A few are just a bit chalky or pastelish, but they arereally fun to play with! I need to find a way to insorporate those neons too. I hope you try these Zinnias, they were qutie fun, remember to use tip of brush and leave soe whites. (These are from a class I taugh this week in my studio) Happy painting my sweet friend, How fun if we were able to paint one day together!

thank you for your beginner tutorials. How to hold my brush, how to tell when I have too much water, etc. Do not quit with these. My dream is to incorporate water color paints and water color pencils. I tried your zinnias. I liked my first try. I took notes the second time for my second try. Thank you thank you. Yes, that was my original thought is to give it to my grandchildren, but I was actually quite surprised by how fun they were. The pans are a bit small, but I love all the colors..

So pretty and vibrant! What fun! I had to laugh when you mentioned the metallics because I was thinking the same thing at the same time. Also, just wanted to let you know that the sound quality today was excellent as was the lighting, so whatever you did it came through perfectly on my end.

Can the paints be removed from the box they come in? If so perhaps the individual tins could be glued in a more rigid container? It’s hard to tell the actual size and depth of the paints.

Hi Karen, yes, I use both sides for my daily paitnings, I have never had any problems. If I was painting a really wet in wet might not be as efficient, I do paint a lot of wet in wet but not puddles. Its quite thick, and textured. (I Dont do this for paintings im gifting or are commissions) Have fun!

Absolutely. I do anyway. I try not to go too much mixing colors in the pans That’s just a personal thing though.

How do I get the crayon lines to disappear……
If you used a wax crayon they don’t come Off… unfortunately try watercolor pencils they will dissolve with the watercolors
