I’ve tried damn near all the kcups Target sells.
The McDonald’s is the best all around and tastes very good. Smooth, not sour or dark. Just tastes really good and goes well with any creamer, also doesn’t break the bank.
The Starbucks is the best tasting but I feel it’s too expensive so I don’t regularly drink it. If guests come over I will use them because it’s the fancy option.
The Peetes is my favorite! I daily drink this coffee because it tastes dark, bold, smooth and it’s strong. It’s not fruity and sour like other coffees. It won’t leave a bad taste in your mouth, it’s very dark and chocolatey which my pallet likes and when paired with Carmel creamer you’re in for a treat. If you’re the type of person who likes Smokey sweet BBQ or dark rich flavors this is for you. If you’re a fan of sour and fruity then you won’t like this.
Donut shop is for someone who likes a light coffee, similar to that cheap $1.50 diner cup coffee you get at the diner with your breakfast. That’s basically donut shop. It’s a cheap quick coffee.
I also want to mention I like knowing what’s in my kcups. I compared the McDonald’s and Starbucks k cup and they were exactly the same when I did my test about 2 years ago.
I compared the grounds to McDonald’s and Starbucks and both were similar and the filter was similar too.

I had a chuckle when you said you have never hear of Peet’s coffee. The man basically introduced coffee to the US. We were drinking crap and he orchestrated some of the better imported beans and helped ignite the coffee revolution we see so much on the West Coast. “I came to the richest country in the world, so why are they drinking the lousiest coffee?”

That mysterious plastic circle is actually a backup filter!
Sometimes the cups are compromised during shipping and the filters can get a tear at the bottom.
Another thing that happens is the cups might get smashed a bit. Then, when someone punctures the bottom plastic; they will accidentally punture the filter as well...
To prevent high return rates; some companies will pay Keurig a little more to put those plastic filters at the bottom so that if the main filter is compromised in any way; the grounds won't pour through the bottom hole...
If you look closely, you will see the holes are only on the outer part of the plastic circle. That's because the needle will only puncture the outer part of the bottom.
So that is why the plastic circle is at the bottom and the holes are only on the outermost part.
Like your reviews. You don't pretend to be something you're not which makes you all the more credible.

@@JustADad If a full pot…8 O’ Clock Original, beans only, in my Cuisinart Grind n Brew or the Black & Decker GnB, like em both…lazy or not awake yet, Walmart’s single cup ‘K’ brewer ($19 -it’s great!) w/Walmart Donut Shop regular is very nice. K cups brew a good cup but IMO not great so it depends. Thanks for all your reviews.

Interesting results. If the pods have 2 tablespoons of grounds, that is usually a dose for 6oz of water. You have a good pallet for being able to taste all of the differences, they all taste about the same to me although I agree that the McDonalds is more of a medium roast. Since I prefer Medium to Light roasts I like the McCafe better than the others and Starbucks has a Blonde roast which is my favorite.

Nice review. Thank you. I’m familiar with these. I’ve tried all of these coffee’s with McCafe being the newest over the last couple of weeks. I’ve always liked McDonald’s coffee when going through their drive thru but to me the pods don’t taste the same. My go to favorite coffee pods that I purchase are Dunkin’s dark roast and Donut Shop dark roast. Starbucks brand seem to disappoint me and it’s probably been a good yr or two since having Peet’s so I don’t even remember if I like it or not. Kind of thinking not, seeing I haven’t purchased the pods recently.

I shop at Costco a lot and use the Pacific Bold organic. It's a dark rost and I think, very good coffe. My wife likes the Donut Shop from Costco.

This was awesome!!! Very helpful for sure! I’ve recently purchased Illys bold roast expreso for lattes & cappuccinos. It’s delicious. It’s a very fine roast which is great however I’ve been thinking of putting it in my universal reusable cup like I normally do but brew it as coffee. Just not sure if that would be such a good idea. What do you think? Lol

Peet's Coffee is making a coffee shop soon in my city.. Fresno California...my favorite!!!... there is a Peets coffee shop on every corner in the Bay area/Coast..

I have K Cups and use them when I am in a rush and running 🏃🏾♂️ late…but I am using more of my fresh ground beans with the reusable K Cups. The K Cups are so expensive and those plastic cups can’t be good for landfills.

I took a quick look in your taste test playlist and didn’t spot the review. I’ve always heard good things about the potency. I’m hoping that maybe bulletproof does kcups. I love their coffee them and dunkin donuts are the only beans I’ll but typically. I’d recommend them both if you haven’t tried. Thanks again

I can not get over how cool the k cups looks for death wish. they have the best k cup look. For me the death wish lacked some original coffee flavor. I also tried death wish medium roast and it just lacked the same standard coffee taste.
@@JustADad yes the dunkin doughnuts medium roast is my fav easily accessible whole bean too. Lol and i don’t know if you know this but you can tell how freshly roasted the bag is by looking at the use by date. It will be for 1 year from the roast date. Thanks for the link 😁

My local Wegmans has Columbian pods for $3.99 a dozen, and it's a delicious medium roast, with plenty of body. I'm just finishing a box of Donut Shop for $8.99 a dozen, and I'll be going back to the store brand. Don't be fooled, people.

Major Dickason's blend is far superior to the other three in blend, volume and roast. Rub the grounds between your fingers to assess grind fineness.

I wanna try all kinds of cups but my go to is donut shop for my everyday and for all creams and my work is San Francisco brand becasue that is strong with extra caffeine and drink that for work only
So coffee choices are subjective to what you like. Some like light roast, medium roast,dark roast. Been drinking coffee since I was 12. I'm 54 now. One of my faves is nestle gold medium roast. I like Columbian and Nabob has an excellent one but doesn't work in the multi stream.
Starbucks hurts my stomach. I don’t know what they have in their coffee but it doubles me over, it hurts so bad.
I’ve never tried McDonald’s, cause it’s McDonald’s. I have it in my head anything McDonald’s is trash. That’s just me though. Lots of people love them. People wrapped around their drive Thru day and night.
Peet’s, I use to buy from them direct. They had a monthly club. Major Dickerson was my favorite. Donut Shop is good also.
I’m really liking Tully’s Hawaii roast now. I ordered the Tim Horton variety pack from Sams Club, I hope I like it! It is on sale this month for $7 off. People describe it as smooth. So here is hoping!

McDonalds. I drink 4-5 cups every day, so I am an experienced coffee drinker. I've tried them all and I go out of my way every day to get (what I think) is best!
Where’d you buy the keurig lattte machine from?
I believe the plastic in the bottom is to help keep it rigid. Some kurig makers don’t have sharp puncture needle thingy in the bottom. So the plastic helps it from collapsing

Unfortunately it is not to keep the cups shape. If it was there to keep the shape of the cups; they would have made it so the plastic goes up the sides as well.

I am really liking the Walmart Great Value Donut Shop 100% arabica Medium Ground coffee. It just taste so smooth. I am also liking the Maxwell house K cup. at first maxwell house was just ok but after a few cups I am really liking it. It seems like you have to give new coffee about 4 or 5 days to give it a good taste test. Thanks for watching!!!!

It would have been more useful if they were all either medium or dark roast. There is a difference you know. Popularity is a poor way to determine the quality of a coffee. Much as in wine, sales volume does not determine flavor or quality.
The thing that stand out to me is your are comparing a medium roast coffee to a dark roast coffee to a coffee with a slight artificial flavor enhancement. It would be interesting if you had compared all medium roast unflavored coffees by brand.
I do understand you are looking at the best selling coffees, which are by people’s taste preferences.
He should have put at the end of the video HIS RANKING OF THE TASTE!!!! Now I have to scroll through the whole video for that.

Unfortunately this was comparing apples to oranges. The fact that they’re top-selling k-cups doesn’t really mean much. Your preference for light, medium, or dark roasts, skews the review.
