I go to Aldi alllll the time, as a vegan who’s currently can’t work due to illness, it’s a life saver! Other shops need to make their vegan items cheaper!
We don’t have the “wonky” veg option here in the US or at least where I live! We have actual companies like Misfits Market or Imperfect Produce where they ship it to you, but I would much rather have an in-store option.
Interesting, It started here a few years ago, and it is brilliant, I think most supermarkets do it, and I honestly can't tell the difference in many cases. Yeah, having it right there, at a reduced price, is so good. I am grateful for that 👏

Already loving your suggestion of adding red lentils in when cooking white rice, have taken note of your pancake recipe from another video, pesto and mushroom and bean bake too. I was blown away by the Aldi in Ireland. The ones I have been to here in Boston are just sad. Looking forward to the recipes coming up with this haul ❤️
Haven't been to Aldi in ages but that is such good value. Equates to about $170aud. I tend to avoid it in summer as it doesn't open as early as my local woollies which is walking distance. If I go any later than 7am I start melting haha. Looking forward to seeing what you will be making. Loving the meal planning kit by the way. Most random thing so far...frozen turnips at the bottom of freezer! I remember chopping them up and thinking I would use them in stews and soups and forgot all about them 🤦♀️

So please you are enjoying the Meal Planner, I hadn't had any feedback as yet, so thank you! I too find random foods in the freezer (all the time!) - I would like a bigger freezer, but I know I'd just fill it up!

Food may have been rejected because it might be slightly too small, way too big or have tiny cracks in the skin, or they might be slightly the wrong colour! Supermarkets used to reject all wonky food, but now we can buy it for cheaper! It's great!
