This guy is the director of the FBI and he doesn't seem to know shit
Not a fan of Wray’s but there’s 56 field offices across the country with over 36,000 employees investigating thousands of cases. There’s no FBI Director who would know the specifics of any case. It doesn’t surprise me that he couldn’t answer Hawley’s question about Bank of America or if a search warrant was used in a specific case to get certain information.

@@_the_antichrist_6633 There’s no US law on not being able to answer questions in ongoing investigations. It’s an FBI guidance document on what can be revealed. Wray can absolutely answer if national security letters or warrants were used to get GPS or metadata for people who were in DC on January 6th at the time of the riot. I’m sure the Congressional members who had their information obtained want to know why and how. The same thing with Bank of America searching their customers records and turning over the names of those who used their debit card in DC on that day. I’m a Bank of America customer and after numerous calls I still can’t get an answer from anyone. There’s a big problem with violating the 4th Amendment if it occurred without a warrant. Even with a warrant it had to be specifically tailored to names of people under investigation not a search for anyone who was in DC if it occurred as has been reported in several news outlets.
@@alicepyne-jahneke8042 When I was a regional manager for a Fortune 100 company that did environmental consulting I went to meetings on projects of great importance because they were multi billion Superfund sites. I couldn’t give specific details on a project. If someone at the EPA asked me if a particular type of test was done on the groundwater and what the results were I wouldn’t be able to answer. The employees who reported to me were across 4 states. It’s the same as asking Wray if he knew a warrant was issued for Bank of America to search customer records. He wouldn’t know what the NC FBI field office did on that specific issue, especially since it was the first time he heard that occurred. It is no surprise that he hadn’t because as a Director he shouldn’t be involved in the daily activities and decisions. That was the problem Comey had. He was interfering in the process. Those are daily operational issues Wray wouldn’t know about. It had to be done out of NC because that’s where Bank of America headquarters are located. A warrant needed to be executed by a federal judge in that state.
Need to press that man harder for his violating people's 4th amendment rights. His behaviour and movements clearly show he is hiding and lying about something. It would surprise me to no end if he Had not already violated YOUR 4th amendment rights.

Senator Hawley, it has been well known, for some time that "anonymous" geolocation data is commercially available in bulk (for advertising purposes etc) Also well known is that US Agencies (like FBI) have chosen to purchase this data on the "open market" rather than go through the courts to obtain it. (Completely legal, so far....)
Although this data is marketed/provided as "anonymous", it is a simple matter to isolate a specific phone signature that was present at the Capitol (January 6th) and then follow that signature as it traveled back to a home address. Finally by triangulating this exact phone signature to a workplace (or church, relatives house, etc) the "anonymity" of the commercially available data is cracked.
When the FBI tells you (Wray + the other FBI lady from Senator Peters hearing) that they follow "all legal channels in aquiring geolocation data" it is because they simply purchase it (from apps like FB, Google, etc) on the open market. (Which is legal, until it isn't) :)
Ill summarize: WRAY "I dont know or cannot speak on it." Worthless hearings.
