Thank you so much for answering my question! Your wisdom has definitely been so helpful to my homeschool. Please don't down play your homestead. It's more than what I have. I grew up on farms but I was put in public schools because my grandfather was a teacher. So everything I learned was through chores.

I’m in Washington too am I have a homeschooling friend who’s daughter is 15. She was able to do running start, but she had to test in and pay. Otherwise it’s 16 years old.

What made you do homeschooling from the very beginning?
Great question! Lots of reasons! :) A couple are: I really wanted our faith to be integrated into our children's daily lives. I also saw how mean kids are to each other, and all the inappropriate things kids were being exposed to at school, and wanted a different path for my kids. I also wanted to be able to customize their education to their pace and interests.
I have the smallest library and we are far far from anything. Our library is even a few towns over. With that being said, what "living booms" would you recommend for me to find, to get my children interested in reading on their own. (one who struggles with language and one that excels)
