According to the Guardian, “pagans, healers, nature lovers and party-goers” flocked in their thousands to the site, after COVID-19 restrictions had impacted festivities in 2020 and 2021.

People stayed up all night waiting on a sun rising - it suddenly dawned on them.

We had about 40 people at the Standing Stones in Glen Innes, NSW, Australia. It was great! Cold as....of course, our mid-winter. A glorious strong pink sky, mist heavy in the valleys. Our "new" stones standing proud.

Standing by some rocks and watching the sunrise isn't mad. They're just people enjoying the moment!
