      Thank you. I try to give different aspects. Everyone’s needs/wants are different, so that will depend on which is the best area/room to request.

    When we stayed at the Riviera in May, we had a preferred studio, room 8586. The views of the pool, lake, & Caribbean were really nice. We didn't get any noise from the pool. We did, however, get noise from the Bocce ball that was beneath us. It wasn't that loud that it was annoying during the day, but you'd be surprised how late (and how early!) people play Bocce ball. It was annoying at 11:00 at night.

    Thanks for the helpful video!! I'm curious - we're new to DVC and I'm trying to figure out how to request a specific room? Is that possible without using a third party service??

    • @ShannonFord
      @ShannonFord  Před 11 měsíci

      You can try with guest services, but I have never had success that way

    For room requests when renting DVC points, would we put those requests in through the point holder at reservation time, or could we still go through Touring Plans? TIA
    Love your informative videos!!! You supply great information from more than one point of view which is really helpful!

      I use Touring Plans and we mostly stay using DVC points

    this was so great! thank you! What site did you use to show the rooms and resort?

    • @ShannonFord
      @ShannonFord  Před 3 lety +1

      TouringPlans. There should be a link in the description box

      If you don't have a subscription to Touring Plans, you really should get one! I can't count how many times we've renewed ours because it's been so helpful with resorts, dining, and crowd level information.

    Shannon- Do you know if room 8102 has access to that grass/sidewalk? Or is there railing on your patio? I think my kids would love to run around in that grass and be able to come right back in!

    • @ShannonFord
      @ShannonFord  Před 2 lety

      I don’t think there is a railing but I am not 💯 sure.

    Do you submit the TP room request before or after starting the online Disney check in process? Or doesn't that timing matter as long as you are 30 days plus from your check in date?

    • @ShannonFord
      @ShannonFord  Před rokem

      It doesn’t matter, but it should be submitted before the 30 day mark

    Hi Shannon! Love your super obsession of room location and view commentaries. I will comment that that after just staying at a Riviera 1 BR preferred view ground floor-West Wing- facing skyliner (Room 8117) it is right next to the tower studios. There is no view of the neighboring window or balcony when in your room- all the way up to highest floor. Happy to share a picture for reference. 8117 is a solid choice for skyliner proximity and west wing parking lot- didn't even need to call Bell desk to grab our luggage upon check out.

      Hi Angela, can you make room requests with the front desk? This room sounds perfect for me and my 2 girls.

    • @ShannonFord
      @ShannonFord  Před 2 lety

      @@Pinkorchid72 there’s a video on how to make a room request. I also explain it at the end of this video. Best way to make a room request is through @touringplans. If you wait to request when you get there, they likely wont be able to help you. Rooms are assigned about 5 days before you arrive.

    Can you tell me what you mean by lock-offs? I think I am hearing this correctly.

    • @ShannonFord
      @ShannonFord  Před 2 lety

      Lock-offs are 1 bedrooms and studios that are sold as a 2 bedroom and have a connecting door
