I wish Kelli was given greater attention in this interview - the same as Renée and Joyce - and I wish the one question that Kelli was asked was centered around her experiences and not about her colleagues (in this case, what it’s like to work with Renée). If you haven’t seen this show, Kelli especially shines and sparkles, through the vulnerability in her acting and the palette of colors she showcases through her singing. She has something to say and she’s not to be overlooked (like she unfortunately was in this interview).

Don’t matter how long or how famous these prima Donnas are. What’s important is how well and beautiful one sings and work well with others for this opera. Instead of these pathetic ABC amateur interviewers giving the spot lights only to Renee and Joyce, they should’ve also given the same attention to Kellie.

Saw this last Thursday and have to say, I did not like it at all. I had no idea what it was about. I enjoy the opera for how it makes me but the music in this opera felt very disconnected with the story but worst, the voices for two of the leads were completely overpowered by the music. I don't know if it was the range of the singers or the orchestra being too loud in some parts but it was very hard to enjoy. I stayed till the end but i stood in front of my seat for the entire intermission debating if I should get my coat and leave.
Who cares.... I watch GMA for all the inner illicit affairs and Republican Bashing. Let's get back on track now.
This opera is getting a lot of p.r. because the Met wants it to be a hit. This opera will be forgotten in a year.
it's entire run was sold out. Demand was so high, last season, they scheduled another run, this season (May 2024). It was one of the few actual hits, last season.
