Glad to see a realistic review. Too many influencers overpraise them but they're actually really bad and they've been stealing designs from independent knitwear designers and crocheters.
oh my god THIS. I crochet and I feel so bad for those crocheters and knitters who have gotten their designs blatantly stolen, often they even use the pictures that the independent creators posted on their Instagram, which makes me even more mad. And they can't even do anything about it :(
I mean I get it, they shouldnât steal from other knitters and chrocheters but they often sell those for such a high prise that no one in the lower working class could afford it đ I cant afford a lot of clothes so itâs a good alternative

this shop reposted a picture of a member from the k-pop group TWICE, and claimed she was wearing a set from them, even though cider are blatant dropshippers that just have pretty branding. when a few people called them out on it, the commenters got a bunch of hate and were met back with a âyou donât think rich people canât buy cheap clothing too???â, even though the point was that cider were lying about selling the knockoff version đ everyone can buy what they want but this shop in particular just exude clown behavior for that

Ive ordered from Cider before and the clothes were underwhelming. Most pieces were okay but smaller cut than expected but the pants were terrible. They were either way too small or the zipper(s) were broken. Returning wasn't even an option, they told me I needed to pay the shipping for the return myself. I figured that fixing the pants and selling the stuff that didn't fit me was a less expensive option. Cider is definitely a fast fashion retailer like Shein and others. Suuuuper disappointing and the quality SCREAMS 'Same manufacturer as Shein etc'
I liked what I bought so far but as someone with long legs, I'm scared to buy pants

I found them when they where still a small brand, and sadly they would openly lie and claim they where all sustainable and handmade items, but once they started trending they immediately stopped talking about their process entirely

I think Naomi is the first person I seen to be so honest and real about the quality, it seems to me like a lot of reviewers/influencers and fast fashion in general have changed our expectations of what good quality clothes should be for the worse. Yeah they just drop ship from AliExpress. I agree about influencers lying about quality, i.e. fashion nova jeans, etc. A lot of things you used to find at the swapmeet for cheap is now being sold at big stores and influencers rave about the âqualityâ đ

the quality of the clothes are very subjective from my experience- i ordered a blouse, dress, mesh top and socks and the blouse ended up fitting horribly and gave me a rash, but the rest of the products i bought are great and i wear them really often... i guess it depends on the item?

i bought a few pieces from there and had the same experience (poor quality and ill fitting) which is really disappointing when the company paints itself as less wasteful and zero inventory when it is literally just another fast fashion company trying to greenwash their brand. But we should know by now If it seems too good to be true it usually is :'D
Yeah âzero inventoryâ as they are doing something thatâs called âdrop shippingâ. They are taking peoples money and ordering their âstockâ from aliexpress/ taobao. I think itâs funny that they are selling it as less wasteful when they are just taking peoples money or things you can get for 1/4 of the price off other websites and is just as damaging for workers and the planet

I bought a dress from Cider back in August for my birthday. I measured and consulted the size chart which indicated I needed an XL. I got it the week before my birthday, and was so bummed out, the cups for the top of the dress were far to small, I managed to get flattened and had quad-boob at the same time, the skirt had my booty cheeks hanging out like it was amateur night at a strip club on a Monday(which if you like that, you go for it but I was wanting to wear this with a denim jacket for a birthday dinner with family soooo, no.) All around i was so butthurt because it was like an Asian style XL, even with the size chart saying otherwise and I donât ever treat myself to cute clothes because I work 6 days a week and constantly wear uniforms

honestly any time I'm buyint a dress/outfit for an event important to me (like my birthday or something like that) before I even think about ordering anything online I go to physical stores near me, like places in the local mall or places in the city (I live right outside of NYC) that I know I like to shop. This way I can physically try things on and know what really looks good on me and what I'm meant to wear. Takes all the guesswork out and for an occasion like ny birthday I don't want to guess - I want to KNOW I'm going to look good in something I love, ahead of time. Just a tip

I also got fooled because I thought they were shipping from the UK (they said they're based in the UK, not sure if they're still doing that) & then I realised it got shipped directly from China. Then i kind of knew something was fishy and looked up the clothes I ordered on aliexpress and found them. For cheaper... maybe it was also my mistake because i didn't check in detail and i was also one of the first one to order from there. Back then they only had about 20 items for sale
I've seen a crazy amount of advertisement from them on my Instagram too! And the clothes actually look reaaally good but they reminded me of shein so I didn't wanna order there, thanks for trying them out!

honestly cider is kinda you get what you pay for. they have nicer quality cardigans that i like but then thereâs the super thin tank tops (but those are cheap so you have to expect it). one thing i like is that their sizing is very accurate with all the measurements and reviews where ppl say how it fit their body type

I ordered a pair of jeans from Cider (lapse in judgement, I never buy from fast fashion) and they fit me PERFECTLY at first, but shrank a whole size in the wash. (They were cotton.) I ended up losing weight so they do fit me now, but not everyone wants to lose weight. So Iâm going to recommend first and foremost not to buy from fast fashion, but if you do buy jeans from them, go a size up and wash them.
EDIT: Also, you can check the fabric of most items in the extended description of them. So you wonât have a not-lacquer pants situation, hopefully.

I mean this not in a condescending or in a rude way at all because I truly do love your content and I think you are super entertaining, but that being said I would love to see you try this kind of video with sustainable/ethical or local brands instead :)!
