Chicago is so nice that I'm gonna go twice, in 2022, on 7/22/22 & 12/22/22
Whoever put this together is a genius
This shows the breath and depth of Chicago's Artistic community!
Jazz with Kurt Elling, Ramsey Lewis & others, Rock with Jim Peterik and others, Classical with Rachel Barton Pine and others, , Rap with Twista and others, Stage with Jessie Mueller, Andre DeShields and others, Blues with Jim Belushi and others, the Hollywood crew with George Wendt, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and others, Ballet, Tap, (I could and should just repeat the full credits!) and Rick Bayless making dinner for everyone!
Truly my Sweet Home Chicago!!!
Jim Belushi is really stretching it for Chicago Blues representation. There are so many fantastic Chicago blues musicians out there that could have been tapped - of course Buddy Guy, but also Billy Branch, Lil Ed, Ronnie Baker Brooks, Toronzo Cannon, Lurrie Bell, Joanna Connor to name a few
Really !? The words are wrong and no credit was given or mentioned to the songwriter Robert Johnson ....this is a disgrace to Chicago
Wanted to highlight impressive " depth and breadth " of Chicago's artistic community. You are correct about the need for better Chicago Blues representation.
Brilliant! Brilliant! Brilliant! It makes me miss Chicago, and I still live here.
It was pretty sad that I think about it to stay home for so long and be isolated but we got through it make the best of every day !!
This video got me through Covid, I was very sick with Covid in the hospital for five days but this video totally cheered me up and made me feel a lot better love you Chicago And all the artist to make this happen !!
I hope you're well now, I was like that in February....thought my time had come. Make most of every minute x
@@glynismcgourlick I am better and yes we have to make each day count Thank you and hope you are better also :)

Wooowwww!!! Bravoo.
Love this so much. Makes me homesick for my hometown.
Extraordinary performance. Big hug to all the artists that made it. You made my day brighter. TKS and love to all.
Even though this city absolutely sucks in NEARLY every way, think politicians, gang bangers, shitty winters, horrible humid summers, traffic, taxes, and the L trains....it's still SWEET HOME CHICAGO.
I know this was done for Chicago artists struggling but I can see this video also being tribute to the Chicago healthcare workers too.
I absolutely love this...... my last day of isolation tomorrow. ...then I'm free 😊 music like this keeps me going xx
Best pandemic music video I've seen to date! Stay strong Chicago.
Dam fantastic
I wished D'Lo Brown was in this
This was absolutely uplifting! Thank you Arts Alliance, HMS Media and all who participated and worked to make this outstanding! -Laura Mack, Bedford Hills, NY

My beloved native city never sounded or looked better. You are always in my heart! (P.S. However, I do agree with the comments here re the paucity of blues musicians in this blues gig. Please stick a pin in this idea for the round two version!)
LOVE it!!!
This is great. CHICAGO!!
Tried and true Chicagoan...love this version of " Sweet home Chicago!"
Really !? The words are wrong and no credit was given or mentioned to the songwriter Robert Johnson ....this is a disgrace to Chicago
@sierra Johnson. I agree with you, this is a different, but fantastic version of "Sweet Home Chicago"
it's 106 miles to Chicago, we have a full tank of gas, half a packet of cigarettes.... whoa! I meant..
it's 106 days until I explore Chicago,
I'll be there on Thursday 12/22/22, God willing, for now it's Wednesday 9/7/22.
Thank u Jessie for the entertainment
Wow! First...I MISS THEATRE! Ugh!
Second...I started to get sad towards the end.
I miss my Chicago. I should clarify. I’m still in Chicago. But it’s not my Chicago. My Chicago is full of life. Theaters, music, museums, restaurants, parks, street fairs, Navy Pier, the Riverwalk. Places I felt at home with. I don’t feel at home anymore. I never really feared my city in my adulthood. Now I feel if I went anywhere I mentioned I would be taking a huge risk with my health, my life. I hope to see my Chicago again. I really really miss it.
Be safe. Wear a mask. Please!
And give me if you can.
While I enjoyed this and I fully support Arts For Illinois, I can’t help but feel a little disappointed about the lack of Chicago blues musicians in this video, especially since Chicago is home to so many talented blues musicians and this is a Blues song.
Love it. Great mix of clips!
Insane version.. This is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good!! I luv all Yall for doing this
What a amazing quarantine-video, the best! With Love from Sweden!
Loved this!!!!!
AWESOME!
Chicago, I'll be there next July 9th, Friday July 9, 2021.
for now, it's Monday 7+13=20, a whole 361 days to go.
6 minutes and 37 seconds of pure awesomeness but where is Bill Murray, Chance the Rapper, Dennis DeYoung...well list goes on and never stops. Great job everybody!
Really !? The words are wrong and no credit was given or mentioned to the songwriter Robert Johnson ....this is a disgrace to Chicago

We left Chicago in March for a temporary overseas assignment and this is making me VERY homesick! Well done all!
Oh WOW! LOVE 💘 IT!
Peru loves you Chicago!, Twista home of the first Skyscraper where MC Juice and Common Sense at?.
Love you back !
MAJOR props to the video editors!
So so great!!
So much Chi-Pride love love love this song.
Makes me happy
AS a hometown girl, I thoroughly APPROVE!! Excellent job, gang, and may it raise LOTS of money for arts and artists. Congrats, Jason Brett!
As a hometown girl you should realize that this is a disgrace. They are singing the wrong words and didn’t use an actual Chicago blues singer. Also no credit given to the songwriter ...Robert Johnson
Brass licks WILL kill coronavirus.
This video made my day!
This is the best
Buddy Guy!!!????
... well there's Jim Belushi......... oh, and Rachel Barton... that's it.
Chicago, my city, I ❤️ you!
I didn't know Jeff Perry was from here! I love this
This is my "All-Time Winner" of the Web!!!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed this video. Mark Kelly, I see you getting down on those drums! Arts Alliance, my check is in the mail. Happy to support the arts and culture in my hometown and state. Stay healthy, be encouraged, and let's raise some dough(deep dish or thin crust) for this relief fund!
I love it!! I'm a blues lover so its obviously a great song. I'm surprised that it doesn't have more views or even more likes. Possibly because alot of people didn't know about it.
muy bueno
Well it’s actors coming together for charity I think whoever started it is an actor or director they should be able to use whomever they want - they can choose to sing any song they want . Second we don’t know if they asked blues artists to do this and if they had the time or capability to follow the format It seems like it would be a bit challenging to coordinate so many people singing on beat and then putting this all together in a cohesive video-I’m sure they filmed this all separately from their homes etc -Again it’s supporting our local artists I think it’s a great idea ( theatre and film and musicians alike ) if it picks up more steam perhaps others will join for another video .
Totally agree with you Andrea.
Man blues is my soul i can just rip it waaaaay better then the sht now
This is awesome 🙌🙌🙌
Was Rachel Barton Pine in that too (Chicago celebrity violinist)?
Yes.
My God Yes
Who is the girl at 0:36 in the bottom left corner in the grey shirt?
JUST DIG IT!!!!!!
Where are the Chicago Blues Singers!?!?!?!
Woo, yes..🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵
very cool!
2:08 is this Ozzy osbourne??
Is that Jim Belushi?
Yes indeed, and closing it at the end too ;-)
Other than Jim Belushi is any of the others from CHICAGO?
Jessie Mueller is
Me seeing two of my professors in this video: 👁👄👁
And some of your classmates!
Too bad they didn't use any Blues artists from "Sweet Home Chicago"....
Relief purpose aside, I feel very disappointed about the lack of Chicago blues musicians in this video, especially since Chicago is home to so many talented blues musicians and after all, this is a blues song about Chicago.
Dan Aykroyd should have been in this.
Jim Belushi is close enough, brother to John... ;)
Who is wearing the Marshall shirt? Go Herd!
Me! GO HERD! 💚
Wow! A Chicago blues song with no Chicago blues musicians. How sad and disrespectful to the ONLY REASON I ever visit Chicago. The real blues. Your city is rich in talented blues musicians but are not represented. That's just not right.
It's such a shame thug ass gang bangers ruin this beautiful, amazing, classic full of soul city.
Great video, great city, great cause. Wish the political hat had been left off. Wasn't needed & not what cause is about, it's apolitical.
From Robert Johnson though, a real bluessong, delta style. But more famous in the chicago blues style for sure. But I don't like this version at all, where are the real blues artists from Chicago? When the rapper started I stopped listening, and actually I wanted too after the screaming violin. This vid shows no respect about the real blues artist from CHICAGO and the whole world!
That's some really close-minded stuff
They were kind enough to list the current hard-working and talented artists that are in this video. Maybe learn to appreciate them too. Sorry you don't like rap. The talented gentlemen are known as Twista and Rhymefest, boomer.
