    I’m so happy that they are implementing fleshed out pop mechanics in eu5. I used to play a lot of eu4 back in the day, but ultimately what put me off it was the high level of abstraction (e.g. mana points; lack of pops) which killed my immersion - sooner or later most of my playthroughs just reverted to map painting.

      We already have game with "fleshed out pop mechanics", it is called Victoria 3. Game no one cares about. Game with most rigid gameplay and meta

      @@amalekhthat’s true, but I think Vic 3’s failure to get traction is due to other factors e.g the terrible warfare mechanics, missing some of the most popular features from Vic 2; poor DLC etc…

    I hope Britain or any other eu countries will be capable to take India Edit: and I mean the ai will be capable, not like eu4 where the entire world get the same tech by 1600 and France or Britain can’t defeat Kongo

    Europa Universalis is too eurocentric! They will call it something else? 😂

      It's got alot of brand power though, people know the name
      Like crusader Kings, itsnt really about crusades anymore

      The game is eurocentric, the name sums it up nicely

      Can't believe you got to play the game already!!

      @@Malforian Highly doubt there will be an improvement over any of the previous paradox titles considering their track record regarding performance.

      Damm, people had the greatest machines back then didn't they? Like in Europa universlis 3 shame a modern computer can't keep up with the pops that game has

    • @Malforian
      @Malforian  Před 4 dny +1

      If it was running on the eu3 engine that would be a valid worry, but it's not
      None of us know what performance will be like, hopefully it's good

    Considering nobles were pretty much nothing but a drain on the people, this is very silly
