I liked Dorinda in the beginning but no longer. She’s a very messy & extremely nasty drunk. You’d think someone of her age & experience & of marrying rich & powerful men would have taught her more tolerance.

Cruelty and occasional rudeness are not the same thing. She's straight up mean and delusional and unwilling to apologize or accept responsibility for any of her own behavior. Most of the real housewives are in their 40's or 50's and had robust careers well before going on television. You have to have money to be a housewife, so I wouldn't say it's fair to assume that they did nothing to get a spot on prime time tv. But it's mindless television that's extremely therapeutic for a lot of people.
