- Ah, Discord. I've written a lot of songs about his character, and while I didn't really like the fact that he's no longer a villain, I think there's still a lot of interesting story potential behind him. He's a demigod designed for nothing but creating chaos and imbalance to the world. Because of that, I imagine there's still a lot of darkness he struggles with. This is a song about him trying to make a change for the better, while fighting off the psychopath inside him.

To be fair, he was less 'evil' and more 'amoral'. He simply didn't care.
How I see Discord is in fact as the spirit of chaos. However, I think there is a difference between who he is and what he is. Being the spirit of chaos is what he is. However, it's not the chaos that makes him evil. In fact, I'm even willing to believe that he never was actually evil. Other than causing chaos for the fun of it, did he ever really harm anybody.
In fact the Aviators even made the song 'Monster' that points out that the reason he became a monster is because the one he loved saw him as one. And I quote the lyrics "The monster that you saw me for is the monster I became."
Your lyrics are really one of the strongest sides. I guess that's one of the reasons why I value what you do so high among other artists (not only in fandom, but overall). I hope that the knowledge, that some guy in Russia listens to your music almost everyday and is trying to learn your songs' lyrics by heart, will be the pleasant one. Keep on improving yourself, keep up the good work. Thanks for keeping the quality of your songs, since I've subscribed you, your lyrics and music itself only improved. Ghosts in the Code was a blast, never had regrets about pre-purchasing it.

I first listened to this song at the end of November 2014, and immediately added to favorites. All the music of that time makes me incredible nostalgia. And that intro... Very good dark song, I still love it!
P. S. The melody after 4:15 reminds me of "28 weeks later" film music.
I still see Discord as a Q (Star Trek)/Sheogorat-like trickster who is not fond of boring physical harm, the one who is always going to prefer tinkering with your mind. He is the spirit of chaos, not the cruel and violent Tirek, no need in killing/sucking the victim out, everything in the name of Discord's own chaotic sense of humor. Not the monster, but the trickster.

I recently got your new(ish) albums and listening through the songs i was shocked at how many were not overtly happy, and now I'm not sure what I like more... All I know is it was money well spent.

If it helps, think of him as Chaotic Neutral? He was never really "evil", it's just that the lawful good of the princesses meant that they couldn't let him run rampant... and now he's not really "good", it's just that Fluttershy keeps his chaotic tendencies in check... most of the time.

Sublime! All of your Discord´s songs are amazing, and this one is not an exception. The concept itself is quite interesting to treat, and it makes me notice something. You´ve done songs about Discord before he was evil, after he became so, while he was evil and now after he reformed. The complete cycle. It´s curious, huh? Anyway, great song. I really like the hard tone applied onto this one.
It's not bad, in fact it's pretty good actually, the lyrics are solid and their message is well carried. However; personally I find that the audio could have been a bit better executed in some parts, for example take how the intro began it was crisp and powerful as well the fade out into vocals was also well done but as you had the piano and the guitar rifts going at the same time it made it kind of muddled and you can't really feel either sound as they were both overshadowing one another. Mind you this only happened once or twice but I feel as though it would have been better to emphasize one and have the other playing more of a support role rather than having them fight for who is meant to play at the time. Anyway these are just little things I think about when listening to music, to be honest I don't have any expertise in the field of music I simply love to listen. Have a good day.

Not all of them will be dark, in fact a couple will be some nice New Wave anthems like Red and Reach. There will also be some softer ballads, so don't worry, it's not all depressing. xD

Sights Unseen Technically, this will be his 7th. Then again, 'Reflections of a Dream' and 'Aeterno' were both mostly instrumental, but I'd still count them as full-length albums.

I really like the concept, i've actually based my OC on alot of your (and some of cherax's) music, specifically branching off constellations.
to quickly summarize, my OC got a dark aura or curse of some kind and is struggling for his sanity for the beginning of his "story" but conquers it.

I mean, when you asked which of the two should be released first, it was obvious that both were ready for release, but I expected you to wait at least one month before releasing a second one. Odd decision, but I can't complain (or at least I shouldn't). xD
Well considering the album is slated for a December release, it's kinda right on schedule to have two singles out by now. xD And I plan to have a third out before too long as well, as a little breather from these depressing rock songs.

Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of this. It's a great concept, and I'm always a fan of Discord stuff, but something about this just feels... off. Bulletproof was definitely better.
