- This video will give you a Step by Step guide on how to find your first job as a Data Analyst. It will cover all the SKILLS required to become a data analyst and also mention what type of PORTFOLIO PROJECTS needs to be done to get data analyst job. We also look at the two Data Analyst Courses and also talk about how to make your profile more visible to recruiters.
If you want to find your first job as a data analyst or if you plan to switch your career to now become a data analyst then this video is for you.
This video is divided into 4 sections.
In the first section, we discuss the SKILLS required to get your 1st job as data analyst.
In the second section, we understand what you need to do to convince the recruiter to hire you even without any prior data analyst experience. We look at why Portfolio Projects are required and what type of Portfolio Projects you need to build in order to get your 1st data analyst job. We also see how you can post these projects online and how to present it to recruiters properly.
In the third section, we cover couple of courses offered by Coursera for Data Analysts.
In the fourth and final section, we see how to make your profile more visible to recruiters. We explain the steps you need to take to present yourself to the recruiter.

Having a cloud certification can help for certain companies however it’s not mandatory in my opinion..
As for the certificate itself.. I haven’t really done any research on it yet to know which suits a Data Analyst.. perhaps I’ll consider this for another video in the future
