The "nuke" in this game was the Kinetic Energy Missile, or K.E.M. Strike. It required 25 consecutive kills with your own weapons (no Harrier Strike -> Chopper Gunner/AC-130 -> Tactical Nuke steamrolling), and functioned more or less exactly the same as the M.O.A.B from MW3 (dunno about the 2x XP for the remainder of the match tho), in that when called in, there was an ominous 10-second countdown, before a massive explosion occurred that wiped out the enemy team, BUT didn't end the game, unlike the MW2 Tac Nuke. I myself only got it a few times (playing against bots, since the lobbies are pretty much desolate these days), but it's pretty satisfying to watch. You could get it as many times as you wanted per match, but only once per life.
Fun fact: the map-exclusive scorestreak you get from Care Packages on "Strikezone" is a K.E.M. Strike, and regardless of whether you got it from a package or from a 25 kill streak, calling it in will send you above the original map into a new, destroyed version. You'll know it's above the previous one because any Weapon Crates or Ballistic Vests on the pre-Strike map will be under the post-Strike map, unusable and eventually despawning

Ghosts was a beautiful game aesthetically and some of the hit markers and aim control was amazing, particularly for the assault rifles

I don't use the Assault package. I use the Support package. The kill streaks I use in the Support package are the *MAAWS* (get rid of Battle Hind), *Night Owl* (to protect from IMS/Trinity Rocket), and *Ground Jammer* (Trophy, IMS, SAT COM, Sentry Gun). However, I do have an Assault package, if I ever use it. It consists of the *Battle Hind*, *Trinity Rocket*, and *LOKI*.

Also, let's be honest.... Who ever actually used the Night Owl more than once?
A floating ball above your head that provides you with a mobile Trophy System and Motion Sensor? Hell yes!
A floating ball above your head that also basically broadcasts your exact location to the enemy team for a minute straight, practically screaming "I'm over here!" so they don't even have to risk throwing a grenade to kill you? Hell no.

you should more explain what the streak does..e.g. the oracle or air superiority, that you got a throwing knife with the maniac or that the MR24 got rockets now ...
The K.E.M strike btw is an attack by a kinematic stab system and the 25 killstreak so yes it is the nuke oder moab ^^
and there are killstreaks on different maps you get in care packages by completing a field order e.g. the salve on warhawk or the kem on strikezone...
