2023 has been a fantastic year...and is a question of justice to recognize the amazing contribution of Classic Solo Spotlight. I love writing this in one of my most beloved and viewed video of this year. THANKS for making our lives better. This is for you, Peter, from Spain, Music, Guitars and Love!!!🎸🎸🎸
Thank you very much. Merry Christmas and happy new year to you.
Peter I don't normally make comments but you are off the chart amazing my man 😮. All of my best to you and your success as a musician
Thank you for the kind words. I appreciate that.
Speechless..... All I can say is '' Damn , Peter went hard on this one!
Gary's 90s onward blues phase with the les paul bored me to tears. When he donned his 61 strat in the early 80s he simply blew my mind to bits. Not sure what gtr he used for that track ( hamer ? ), but this video beautifully captures the gusto with which Gary played.....terrific job.
Hamer, yes, and I also had to adjust to his sound on Run For Cover, but now looking back I like this album and guitar sound best. The blues years are post his peak.
brings back some memories that. sheffield city hall 1985. great cover !!
Awesome band on that tour!
I think "Run for cover" has been one of my all life favrorite songs. But now I m always listening to your cover more than the original...Not only good taste and technique, you have huge incredible feeling. This is TOO MUCH thrilling🙃, this goes beyond, congratulations!!!
Thank you very much for the kind words. Yeah, it's one of my favourite Gary tracks. If you like the Wild Frontier album then stay tuned ...
@@ClassicSoloSpotlight I think you re in trouble if you have to chose one only song of "wild frontier". I don´t want to influence you, but if i had your musical level, iI would do "thunder rising". You play amazing the wild rythms and the good solos over, so this song is made for you. But the problem is to leave out "wild frontier-the song", because the solo is from another planet... I m sure you know it perfectly...and I don t want to talk about the iconic "over the hills..." with its solo and instrumental parts... After hearing your brilliant arrengement for the "run for cover" intro, these are a difficult challenge to avoid... Formore, I think that solos like "take a little time-solo", and "friday on my mind-solo" seem to be a joke the first time you hear it, but due the star system context of 1987, (Gary didn t want the tipical speed based guitar hero) and his fabulous musicality, let Gary to composse this little easy masterpieces that are one intentions declaration. As you can see, I want a medley... it´a joke...it s complicated get out the solos from the song because are getting out of its context...
I didn t want to write it, because I didn t want to pressure you. From Spain, I think you are doing a fantastic work, so decide what you like best!!! Bravo!!!
@@joseluislasierracruz6707 Thanks and congragulations ... you guessed the correct song!
Fantastic cover...Gary Moore is sorely missed RIP
Amazing job - love how you transposed the keyboard parts!! 🔥👍
I am unfamiliar with this song but god damn!! I am impressed by the original but also your playing. I always am but this was spectacular. Cheers 🇨🇦

My favorite song on the Run For Cover album!!

Beautiful
Both this album and the wild frontier seem to me to be an ode to good musical taste. For me they have some of the best guitar solos I have ever heard.

Fantastic playing Peter. What DiMarzio pickups are these ?
Same as always, the protrack and virtual solo.
@@ClassicSoloSpotlightThey sound amazing (and versatile!).
Stunning performance, coud you PLEASE do a Pat Thrall guitar cover? Thank you.
Cool Idea. I'm afraid I only know "Got Your number"!
@@ClassicSoloSpotlight Great! Good enough for me. 😀
Could you do freidman and beckers black stallion?
Never heard it, sorry.
Thank you for your GREAT PERFORMANCE❗😍
If possible plz my GARY MOORE cover too👍😊
What was with the tennis clip?
Just a bit of fun. I'm a tennis fan, that's a funny clip that happened to fit the song's Chorus. Couldn't pass it up!
I don't prefer his blues phase either. But, his light jazz styling were out of this world.
See 'Separate Ways' live from 1992.
I always found that, on the original track, the guitars are too low in the mix. Such a pity since this riff grooves like nothing else. I'd rather listen to your cover. I think it's better than the original. Cheers!
Thank you, that's great. Yes the guitars are a bit low on a lot of older records.
Maybe Gary Moore was the best guitar player ever,
