I have only the highest respect for forensic pathologist & forensics. They speak for the dead & believe it or not, the dead do have a lot too say. Mad respect.
Especially, they’re part of investigation that brings killers to justice or else we’d find more and more bodies of innocents
Canada’s justice system is far too lenient in dispensing sentences for crimes, particularly murder! I’m Canadian. 🇨🇦
I’m Canadian as well not only is our Judicial System shit. Our so called PM is beyond an embarrassment to our Country
Agreed!
I personally know what f a couple people that have killed and done provencal time , less then 2 years. I bet there’s hundreds of cases where that’s the case. Very rarely do murders do over 10 years in Canada. To say it’s a joke is an understatement.
Unfortunately it's a legal system, not judicial one and in a lot of the cases... revolving door.
THERE SOULD BE.A REFERENDUM,
THE LAW NEEDS A BIG SHAKE UP,
SUCH LITTLE TIME FOR HORRIBLE CRIMES.🙄
11 years for murder? What an insult to her family
I'm not sure her family cared much as she was growing up in women shelter...
Eleven yrs s a crime in itself... SMH 🤔😡
Yea that's light. Hmm if he was a minor though..and with good behaviour probably only served 2/3 so 7 or 8 years. Yea that's a good deal for murder. I wonder if she was a prostitute and that factored in.
Out in three.
11years he killed someone even if she was still alive and drowned he still killed her life for a life no more Questions 🤬
It’s Canada 🇨🇦 justice take it or leave it..🙁☹️😕😟😤🤮
I wished he got more time.
@@nybsbfan18 In the U.S. the dirtball woulda got 40!
I see how shocked a lot of people are in the comments about the sentence. I personally know of a couple people who have killed and did less then 2 years. I’m willing to bet that there are hundreds more cases where that’s the case. To say Canada’s Justice system is a joke is an understatement. Just recently I’ve had a crown attorney say to me “ the system has gone to hell “ I think the whole country is on route to hell unfortunately. I pray I’m wrong but fear I’m right.
SAD!
Just don't peacefully protest. Then you might see some time.
It's the opposite problem in the states.
People go away for way too long for accidental deaths or when they weren't active participants in the murder but were in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong people..
I find It extra sad when a parent loses a child by an accident & they are typically a good parent .
They are already destroyed by loss & guilt when they are charged, prosecuted, & locked up for murder.
The more left leaning the country the more pathetic they are about sentencing and are very sympathetic towards criminals vs their victims.
@@user-cx3xu1nu9x The large number of prisoners in USA makes that country the one with more people in prison, let alone that most of these institutions are run by private corporations. The larger the numbers of inmates and the longer they stay "indoors", the more profit for them.
Here in Canada the sentences are a joke, in particular when it comes to extreme crimes. On the other hand we have bank robbers receiving sentences of up to 30 years and pedophiles 4 or 5.
Harsher sentences ("Amurica" style) only benefits a group and doesn't minimize the high rate of crime they suffer.
Situations like this make me profoundly grateful that no one "loves" me like this. Let me stay alone
I'm with you on that... And if ever a man dates raise a first at me, I make it bloody clear he'd want to start watching over his shoulder... 😡
Lol
I AGREE.....MANY SUB..NORMAL OUT THERE!! STAY SAFE AND BE
DILIGENT LADIES.
I'm not so jaded, probably cause I'm a guy and don't have to deal with the threats ;that women have to on a daily basis. I'm of the mentality, I'd rather be alone than settle, it's not fair to both parties if one partner is settling out of loneliness.
It's not that these guys love women more than normal guys, or love them too much or anything of that matter. It's more that, they have the overall emotional maturity of a 3-4 year old, and like 3 & 4 year olds, they may struggle to display their emotions in a constructive manner.
Basically murder by temper tantrums.
How can they say justice was served, how is the extinguishing of a life only worth 11 years??
I think its fair. Im not thinking im above the law. So u think u know better what is justice? Ok!
@@imonoke7903 WT are you alluding to, I don't think anyone is above the law, me included, but locked up for only 11 years doesn't seem enough to me for taking someone's life, my opinion and I'm entitled to it, as you are to yours even if I don't agree
11 years is not enough. Great investigation 👏 👍
Was he out in two?
@@myunknownland9272 Why do you keep asking that on every single comment about the length of time he was given? What am I missing?
If I ever think I see a mannequin in water I'm not going to get closer,I'm just going to call police. How many people say they thought it was a mannequin? That's too traumatizing.
Also, how many mannequins could there be on the side of the road, or in the water? I don’t know why that’s the first thing people think of. It’s more logical that it would be a human body.
I think the initial reaction of "it's a mannequin" is our brain's way of protecting us from something potentially traumatic. Finding a body would be something most people wouldn't expect, so the brain may try to reason it out otherwise.
11 years….. that is what they call justice??? He took her life and he got 11 years!!!! That is so messed up! He will get out on parole in what maybe 5? He will go on living his life like nothing ever happened….. that’s disgusting and no where near justice!
Was he out in two?
If i was gonna kill someone, Canada would be the place to do it.
@@jamie91433 Brazil too
I think its justice. Dont u understand how long time 11 years is in prison?!
@@imonoke7903 don't you understand once a person is dead they have no years!!!
Good job Quebec Provincial Police, and thank you REAL CRIME for sharing.
Excellent investigation. She was so young!💔💔💔 He should have Received alot longer!
Was he out in two?
Excellent translation to English...thank you!
the actresses screaming look like theyre laughing
Those girls in the first clip are terrible actors. They just look about to burst out laughing through the entire scene.
I was wondering if I was just noticing that myself.
😂 SERIOUSLY! I was waiting on someone to mention it .
Lol! They are soooooo bad its ridiculous 🙄 😂
So dragged out. This could have been videoed in 20 minutes.
As usual In Canada, no justice.
Right!? The sentence he got is shorter then the video! 🤐
I disagree that justice was served, 11 years for taking the life of a 15 year old, that’s not justice.
Was he out in two?
Who makes Canadian laws?
I agree! That man took the life of a 15 yr. old girl who had her whole life ahead of her. He only serves 11 yrs. and will still have the rest of his life. Definitely injustice here!
Depends on where you live. Justice system is very different all around, in Finland too this wouldve been the sentence for 2nd degree murder.
These judges are not competent to be judges who do that. There's no deterrent and there's no paying back the debt to society.
Very interesting! I love detailed forensic stuff. It’s so cool what can be done in the lab.
Yes! I don’t just want to know the human interest story, though that’s important to stay interested. I want to know everything. I would have liked to know more about this poor girl, though. It sounds like she had been through a lot at age 15, to have been living in a women’s shelter and familiar to sex workers on the streets. She was likely a trafficking victim, with a difficult home life, in care or with her family of origin. It’s very sad, how some kids are left to the wolves.
I would like to know more about the victim. It sounds like she’s had a really hard life, at only 15 years old. it’s beyond sad how many kids are left to the wolves, even in wealthy countries.
11 years! Should have gotten life sentence with no chance of parole. That's crazy.
A horrible death, so much investigative work, and they consider that 11 years in prison for the murderer is fair. He had threatened to kill her if she left him but, 'of course', it was not premeditated, there was no witness, etc., etc. What did this individual do shortly after being released? He assaulted and harassed other people, I read that he was prosecuted in 2013 but I found nothing about a conviction... I wouldn't be surprised if he is walking the streets safer than the rest of the people.
.
😪
To get 11 years diminishes and devalues the right to that young girls life, a life ahead of her she will never get to live. Add another 20 years to the 11 and that may be somewhere near more acceptable. I don't know why but I've seen many cases like this with nothing sentences and it seems specific to Canada.
One of the areas where their extreme politeness should not be so far extended. 😬
20 years? How about life with no parole. Geez she's dead at 15.
@@chefmike4414 I did not say that. I said add 20 years to the 11 he got aka, 31 Years and you may be somewhere near more acceptable.
Excellent documentary, thanks so much ~
11 years ?! Wtf Canada!
Served 2
So many other nations also hand down light sentences, the prisons are overflowing with harsh sentences for relatively light crimes whilst rapists and murderers skip along happily.
Sorry, a little bitter as a serial paedophile who has hurt some young family friends is up and appealing his sentence after 4 months, he was sentenced to 9 ..... for goodness sake!
No words but curses right now. Growl!
Our country has been taken over by the liberal party for the last 7 years. That explains everything.
This is an Excellent channel! Thank You!
Good police work
"And justice was served." Was it? Was it though? Eleven years for murder?
So two girls discover a lifeless body. One stays alone while the other seeks for help? No way!
Yeah I agree.
Hahaha If I was there too, certainly I would run away.I will never ever stay near the corpse.
He got only 11 years for a violent crime that took the life of a person he claimed to have "loved." He'll probably be out in 2-3 yrs on good behavior. There is no justice in the justice system.
Excellent investigation, but no, justice was NOT served!!!
News to the world: mannequins are actually quite expensive. And often used for art if not in retail. In 1989 the ones for the store I worked at cost thousands of dollars. Vintage ones go for a few hundred at least. If you see a
" body" in the forest, a lake, a river, etc. Its very unlikely its a mannequin. Just saying....
Every doc says " they thought it was a mannequin " and its like omg seriously again?!
11 years! Holy moly Mary! And that's justice!
What does injustice look like? LIFE, NO PAROLE? WTF!!!!
I can’t believe the guy had his name in a love carving at his crime scene. Doh.
It’s so sad that she was likely conscious, and had to drown after being brutally attacked. That’s the most terrifying thing, to me, about these crimes…it’s such a horrific way to die. If someone ever kills me, I hope I go quickly. Well, the worst thing is that people will take a life, over their personal problems, to begin with. But it’s scary to think of dying that way. A lot of women live in terror because of these predators, and even some men who know a person like that.
This was sad indeed mate . thanks from Australia 👍🦘 mate keep them coming
11 years for killing. 🤔
How sick do you have to be to say you love someone and then just kill them. I wonder if he said "I love you" 8 times with every thrust of the knife into her neck.
Very great police work, but the time served is too short. Some people with less of a terrible crime gets sentenced harsher than that.
Great presentation.
WTF??? They call 11 years being justice served for a horrible murder like that?! That’s a bunch of bullshit and he’ll probably get out in half that time!
Out in two.
Justice wasn't served? 12 years is nothing for this young girls life?..
Salute to all participants in investigations
But no information about the victims family background
11 yrs imprisonment is nothing for a life taken for
Who is ever dumping mannequins in rivers/oceans? No one
Well presented
Hello! Since we know that you are telling everyone about crimes in an honest way ....we were hoping that you will cover the story of a girl named (Jawaher hajji) ....her mother is soo heartbroken because the police didn't want to help her in the case in a proper way ....so please help us to rise our voices to the people who can help ....but it all start with you! So much love!
Please cover the story of Jawaher Hajji #JusticeForJawaher
They shouldn’t have used the clip of the girl’s screaming. It confused me, at first, because their acting made it seem like they were smiling
They were smiling, theyre probably kids of the producers who think they can act. They cant.
Justice was served???
Such a good episode I love the voice
She must have been drowned by force because it is unbelievable that she drowned alone because her body was found next to the water.
11 yrs!! He’s out to kill again!!! 🤦🏻♀️🙎🏻♀️There’s no justice anywhere!
so interesting!
So the CSI guy have read Viktor Burakov's book.
sweet, this series is awesome - more please! also murder she solved :)
I wish series like this had a better voice. The monotone thing ruins the documentary
Nah, better than wannabe narrator on youtube ! They suck ..
The French translator has a awesome voice
murder should be a life sentence and not Canadian style life of 25 years. Life should mean the rest of your damn life period. You take a life and get caught so u lose your life. I think in some horrendous murders particularly of children we should still have a death penalty.
More than a crime documentary this seems like a documentary of how the investigation process works... I was more focused on that than the actual crime and victim.
Justice wasn't served!!! He only got 11 years. How much time did he truly serve 6 - 7?? THAT is NOT Justice!
Should do a video on the Luby Massacre
I'm here to find put what happened 🙃🍿
I can't find this online anywhere. Can anyone else? Ugh
Very thorough and very professional investigation but only 11 years for murder, that's a joke.
no way he was stupid enough to keep the knife on his keychain

11 years??!!whaaaaaaaat
They should know that it is never a mannequin.
How many mannequins are found out in the open in a forested area, SMH.
Sometimes the brain can`t accept the horror of what it is seeing so it thinks it must be seeing something else. Shock and denial. Few people come across mannequins in forests but few people come across dead people in forests either.
11 years...WTF
I HIGHLY DOUBT she crawled to the water and accidentally drown. ANYBODY who stabs their girl and she's found dead in the water suggests to me he dragged to the water and held her under by her clothes. This "CHOICE" to finish her off( kill her) should have been delt with by a manditory minimum of 25 years IN PRISON for justice to be served. God Bless the victim, your free from this loser now...
In most cases where there are no found proof of sexual abuse and only overkill, its always the spouse/boyfriend or someone the victim knowed.
Haha at 6:27 you can see that the actor//victim is alive 🤪😁
He will meet the same end. Karma
Will he though? It's not exactly common...

11 years for murder? Wow!!
The guy with da mohawk.best haircut in da world
It just hit me that it's some girl's job to lay in a creek face down and be photographed as if they're a dead body.
The team worked hard to bring justice to Tanya. Well done. The filmmakers made this boring though. Its too detailed which is not good for the viewers plus teaching criminals what to look out for....
the loaned clothes i think are evidence of what really happened...
Crazy how they can reenact a scene and the girl play the victim.
Let the people speak their native language; and if needed, provide subtitles.
The show is probably make with the American audience in mind. Americans prefer dubbing over subtitles, maybe their literacy rate isn’t as high as other countries.
@@birgittabirgersdatter8082 lol
@@birgittabirgersdatter8082 We don't like subtitles because they usually are of very poor quality. Also, for those that are listening and not necessarily watching the screen, subtitles don't do us a lot of good. What exactly do you have against Americans and I'm sorry someone hurt you.

The investigation work first class. They dug and dug and followed up on everything although the odds were against it.
I don't know what the hell was wrong with this girl. Just by this guy's appearance was not a red flag, but a no go area.
