Just found this channel. I was GIVEN a 1958 F100 when i was almost 14 . MY father and i redid brakes etc and i drove it for a while. We did rebuild the 223 Six Cyl and 3spd Overdrive trans. I kept this truck until i joined the Marine Corps in 1997.
I can not get the ugly square F100s out of my mind.

I was surprised to see your truck has reverse lights. Are they factory original? My old 65 Chevy didn’t have them and I learned when I bought that truck reverse lights weren’t federally mandated until 1966!
Thanks for the comment! We're not sure if they are from the factory or not. Our guess is that Granddaddy did not put anything new on this truck, because money was very tight.
It must have been from the first owner because I know the few trucks that had reverse lights were above the tail lights, not below like this one
