Thank you! As a motorcyclist, I Love speed and acceleration. As an engineer I chase perfection. With magnetic IDEX, print quality takes priority. Now my accelerations are in the 10m/s² range, and I have never had a magnetic coupling a.k.a white rabbit detach from the toolhead due to speed. With super high accelerations I start losing steps first. However, a severe print failure can cause a toolhead to decouple. I like that feature because the toolhead simply gets pushed out of the way. It keeps extruding cleanly without building a plastic blob on the toolhead. The four toolhead Akula printer is in development 😊
@@m_IDEX Ok cool. Are the two sides still connected with the rod? I am considering doing dual motors on my Y axis, but I am worried the two sides might get misaligned
I am 99.8% sure that both Pro and Pro 2 use the same frame. So the Akkula-class motion system is also compatible with Pro 2. There is a project to get creator pro2 board to work with klipper. github.com/Klipper3d/klipper/pull/6553/ But for now, easiest thing to do is to replace original control board something like the BTT Octopus.
This is seriously next level!
If Peopoly Magneto was smart they would contact you for their next big line of printers.
Wow, that's great Dmitry
Thank you, Mike
Very cool.
Thank you
That is crazy! 😮
Thanks 😊
awesome tool change ❤it. You can even go 4 colors with this genius magnetic latch. Have u ever got the magnet detached during high speed prints?

Going to be great for support material.
What is the typical tool change speed on "normal" i-dex machines?
It's about 4 seconds. Take a look at this video.

you measured the input Shaper level?
I am a little disappointed with the shaper graphs. I posted them here: czcams.com/users/postUgkxSwGXL2p8NcAz-eli-Zf22GDYr9R3awaj
Notice you have 2 Y motors. Do you have an endstop for each motor?
I have just one endstop on y axis. Seems to work well enough. 🤔

@@46449771 Y axis motors are independent.
Is this system compatible with FF Creator Pro 2?

@@m_IDEX big thanks for advice.
