Christopher Warnock does have simpler books on astrological magic based on Picatrix that can get you started on those sorts of practices.
I like him because he really did put in a ton of translation work with Picatrix. His website though🤯🤯

😫Ivy , I needed this booklist at this time. I’ve been so reflective and diving in . I’m a beginner intermediate. I know a lot but not enough and “ I’m not an astrologer I know nothing 😳” is always my disclaimer whenever I even talk about anything astrology related.I NEVER heard of HELLENISTIC ASTROLOGY 😮 I have a stellium in Saturn a grand trine air and the moon is my chart ruler so sometimes I’m like 🥴am I coming or going ? Huh? Wha?

This is an amazing video! I’ve been iffy on studying Astrology because from the little snippets I’ve read of it, it seems overwhelmingly intense and complicated but I will definitely be purchasing that beginners book.

I’m going to pick up the Practical Planetary Magic book … There is a Practical Elemental Magick book and a Qabala book by the same author. I mood read so much and I love to read romantasy and thriller books as well! There certainly is not enough time to read all of the books that I want to! Thank you for your recommendations!

I can definitely do that! Let me add it to my list. The channel members ultimately vote on some of the topics I cover. I may potentially be doing an animal magick video next month but it will be geared towards a specific path. Let me add it to the list and I'll try my best!

I tried learning natal astrology many years ago & it just didn’t click with me, didn’t inspire me so I switched to a deep dive into tarot & other forms of divination instead. Lately wider deeper planetary magic knowledge is really calling to me (in my crone years) as a way to reinvigorate & enhance my witchcraft thanks to you Ivy ❤
Ahh I'm so happy you're interested in planetary magick! I can resonate with not clicking with natal astrology. I think it's a valuable tool to know at least the basics, but at a certain point... It becomes way too analytical for me. Planetary Magick is so fun!
A great book is General Principles of Astrology by Aleister Crowley/Evangeline Adams

I looked up Astrology the divine science and i couldn’t find it for under $180.00. It would make a good gift! I am not sure id be able to justify the price unless I asked for it for a gift on a special occasion/holiday.

Being an avid reader aiming to go paperless, I prioritise choosing digital formats over print, with some exceptions. Can you confirm if The Only Astrology Book You'll Ever Need by Joanna Martine Woolfolk is suitable for Kindle, or does it contain illustrations better suited for paper pages?

I liked the Only Astrology Book You'll Ever Need as well and Astrology for beginners by Joann Hamper was really easy to understand but very basic. And yessss totally agree Chris Brennan's book is a game-changer for sure. I love a few oldies as well Demetra George's Mysteries of The Dark Moon and Love Signs by Linda Goodman 🥰 Demetria recently brought out the new volumes ancient astrology in theory and practice - they are on my list to get to at some point but I heard from a friend they are also really detailed and intense. I like The Archetypal Universe by Renn Butler as well. I am so curious to try to find astrology the divine science - it sounds like a good one! 🙏🌞💫Xx

As a.kid, astrology helped me with my geometry math proofs
Everyone shoukd have an empheris on their shelf if not desk, as a kid I started wirh the Horoscopr Maker and Delineator by the big Double L
Psychstrology is alot like the Stephen Forrest stuff from the 80s that really helped me get a bit more comfort with astrology
The Divine science is awesome❤, but there are many cookbooks that might be more approachable like the saokian books and a bit more affordable
Moon magic is so approachable, we see her all the time
As for Planetary magic I of ouurse started with Dennings&Phillips
Oh , btw as a kid we worked the Philosophy Books, that came in 5 books,
And if you are into the occult , the Picatrix and a couplenothers, should be on your shelves, however alot of the stuff has been percolated down unto modern times

This is incredibly helpful, thank you. - My ultimate goal is to know both tropical astrology and Hellenistic Astrology (mostly bk all of the old Magick uses that system) and yes, i do own the Chris Brennan book, but i've not gone all the way through it yet bk i keep getting stuck, mostly bk i have trouble memorizing everything. I like Chris Brennan's channel, but yes, even there he is often super dry and packs in tons of information! his shows are like two hours long! One of his Hellenistic Astrology videos features an old military man named Alan White who gives an old-fashioned flipboard lecture, with his uniform on! and it's about 2+hours long: czcams.com/video/U3H2M6dMF5w/video.html - btw, Astrology the Divine Science is around $50-$100 atm. 🪐
I knew Brennan had a channel or podcast of some sort but I haven't checked it out yet. Thank you for the link! I clicked on it and I love that old-school flipboard lecture style. WOW, I can't believe that astrology book is up to $50-$100. I swear it was only $30 when I bought it a year or two ago. That's crazy!
