Hooray for Stitch-Con! Sounds like it was the best weekend :) The process of relocating and starting over is challenging, and online friendships that are maintained through that are such a help. Enjoy picking up your wedding dress! My wedding was postponed due to Covid but I like to go and unzip the bag and stare at it when I wanna feel extra glam and girly.
I was gifted a DMC brand roll like that from my neighbour and was curious how to use it as I was only thinking of it for transport. Storing FO’s is a great use of it. Also love the stitchy mat, I need one for Stitch North.
That’s an amazing small gift, very thoughtful.

OMG, your small was the exact same one I was stitching for the smalls exchange! I didn’t finish mine in time, though 😢, so I guess it will just be for me now… I loved seeing your haul. So funny about the floss wands at Weekend A, as I didn’t see a single one of those at Weekend B. 😂 I loved seeing you for dinner - thank you so much for making the drive to hang out with us. We are definitely friends and I love that stitching brought us together. And, as an Air Force Brat, I can be friend to that life, too. ❤ Hugs!!!

Samhain is pronounced "sow-wen", with "sow" sounding like "sour" (not like "so") 🙂. For the longest time I had only seen in it writing in fiction books and, in my head, I pronounced it phoenetically. Boy was I surprised when I first heard it pronounced correctly!! Your concert jacket is looking so good -- I like your idea about putting the concert date & location on the front. I enjoyed your StitchCon recap. Have fun stitching what you want to stitch when you want!

What is your plan for having all the DMC? I’ve been stitching since the 1970’s and there are lots of colors that I have never used. I just buy floss as I need it. It might save some money to buy what you’re going to use? Just a thought.

I'd like to have a full set for several reasons. The most logical is that I like designing patterns and having all the colors available makes that process so much more fun. I also like to have colors ready to go if I want to start a new project on a whim 😊
