  • Award-winning weaver, teacher, and craft advocate, Susan Morgan Leveille is the niece of Lucy Morgan, founder of Penland School of Crafts in Western North Carolina. The Morgan family was instrumental in rural education and handicraft revival in the early 20th century. In this video, Susan discusses Southern coverlet weavers, the impact her family has had on Western North Carolina arts and crafts, and her own experiences as a weaver and craft educator.

    I really enjoyed this. I started weaving about 5 years ago and there is so much to learn. I admire the interwoven stories that are truly beautiful threads of life.
