WRO 2017 Team Roboteck - Pre-qualification in Wahlstedt (North Germany)

This video shows our robot which we constructed to compete in WRO 2017. The video was taken in the pre-qualification for Germany's final round. In the Germany final we came out 4th rank and qualified for the World Robot Conference in Beijing 2017 (August). We're very proud and excited... this was our first competition ever up to now!

What was the surprise rule?

A battery block (same format as the process blocks) which was positioned onto the corner/edge of the black line in front of the destination field. We could just ignore it. The surprise task in the Germany finals were much tougher and induced a lot of problems for us....

Probably "obstacle" is the best description. Watch out for our video from the German finals. The "surprise task" in the German finals was much tougher and led to total failure for many teams :-(

i guess the metal ball bearings overcome the tape better than normal wheelies which could have been easier to collect the solar panel
