    I did not know the theam song to grange hill was written by Alan Hawkshaw the same person who wrote the theam tune to countdown and temporarily replaced Bruce welch when he temporarily left the shads to take a break. He played the keyboard in the shads. Then was replaced by Cliff hall when Bruce came back.

    I think I might be the only person who prefers that version of "Chicken Man" as the Grange Hill theme.
    Andy Crane was eventually gunged on Red Nose Day by Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie wasn't he.

      If this would've took place this 2023, you don't need to mention who would receive
      that kind of 'treatment'. Phil Schofield was second on that list! Couldn't happen to a nicer Oldham guy.

    Jeez, this takes me way back. A very different era for sure. I liked Andy Crane, but Philip was best.
