    You exactly hit the point. Most of the times, and in every sector, Chinese manufacturers have a single target: lower the price. At any cost. Even when they have a decent product, they get crazy about lowering the price until it becomes crap. You're right, if they cared just a little more about the product...

    Love your videos by the way! It's because of you and Tolbert that I got my first rc a couple weeks ago. BUT as a viewer (and being very much a perfectionist) i would like to drop a suggestion in the suggestion box. I know your shop is still a work in progress and it also isn't my shop and/or my money... but in your new studio it seems like the room is darker than the entire shop used to be. This crawler is a dark color which doesn't help but I can't help but notice your awesome facial features have been darkened as well. Your brightly lite shop was great for bringing out crazy colors on rc bodies and super fine details in your work! I'm just another bystander that loves the honest and real content you put out there. But if it were me (and it's not) I'd try out some LED pod lighting or even thin LED drop ceiling lights installed above your work bench and other places in the room. Ether way it's cool to watch the progress along side your awesome hobby! keep the videos coming!

    Nice upgrade 👍. I'll bet quite a few cheap crawlers would benefit in this way. Regards lack of soldering iron, 2amp terminal strip would do. Cheap from Wilcos. But, a 30 watt iron (with stand) is available from there too for £12 and a small roll of solder for £3. It's a great idea to teach youngsters to solder and it's a lifelong skill once they have it 👍😉

    Just wanted to say that I was caught out with a motor wire while out a few weeks ago and managed to resolder it using a match. Maybe it depends on the solder but it's not game over if you don't have an iron

    • @aljensen7779
      @aljensen7779 Před 2 lety +1

      I accidentally discovered there's a difference in the solder. This very thin solder that came with a soldering station requires 50 more degrees to melt than some random solder I had laying around. There's definitely a difference. Seems like you had a happy coincidence.

    • @oipearman
      @oipearman Před 2 lety

      @@aljensen7779 ah, interesting.
      Always worth a try if you've got a lighter anyway

    • @TheActionBastard
      @TheActionBastard Před 2 lety

      Given the melting point for most solder is something like 450C (as an upper bound, many melt far lower) and the burning temp of a lit match is like 500-600C (a butane lighter is even hotter at like 2000C) there is a very strong case for giving that a try should things be dire and you need to do a thing like that. This also brings up the "ancient soldering" method where you just find a big chunk of metal and heat that crap in a fire or blowtorch... now you have an iron (bonus points if you're using an actual chunk of iron).

    Completely changed the truck, from pretty much garbage (good looking garbage, but garbage non the less). I have a couple more esc70, and one will be replacing a res v3 in my c24 (the res v3 has cool functions, but crap bec).

    Good upgrade . I don't understand how its financially beneficial or feasible to engineer a whole new control board for each and every vehicle , when a standard set up would suit most , until LiPo and Brushless specs are needed .

    I just got the DEERC version of the MN99S which is basically this truck, based on your reviews. It looks great, but tumbles way easier than a stock C24-1 and can't even push it's own weight up a hill. Once it hits a high angle and has to dig, the lights start blinking and the battery cuts out like it's too much amps for the stock electronics. It drives fine on flat ground or rocky terrain, but that's about it. Did I get a lemon or is it really that weak out of the box?
