    Welcome back to the channel, we are back in Spain for a month to give some lessons and to train padel. One of the most important things why I am back is to get into that Spanish padel rhythm again that I love so much. I always forget how massive this difference actually is.
    Today we are training at prodigy padel academy in Estepona with Santiago Moreno and the WPT pre-previa level ladies!
    I am super exited! Vamoos

    Your videos with competition coaches are phenomenal - by far the best padel content for advanced players on youtube. It's mind boggling that spanish/argentinian padel youtubers don't feature much real coaching. So much more applicable tactical information on these videos than anywhere else.

    He Sven, toffe filmpjes. Heb je nog leuke drill fimpjes, of een groep lekker warm te maken? Bv mooie oefeningen via de wand met 4 man?

    If you think padel is high cardiovascular exercise you are mistaken, I play padel as warm up before my training, if you are not a fit person, I recommend you train more if you want to play long rally

      What experience makes you say that? And what is your padel level?

    • @kristalhannert1
      @kristalhannert1 Před rokem

      You are wrong, medium level has a lot of exercise because you go to fast near the net to volley and back to the wall to defense in short time and many times in one point. In high levels people are more regular in their shots and one point is eternal.
      PD: sorry, I have to improve my English.

    Sven, while watching the drills it occurred to me. Do you think it is more difficult to defend a soft or fast volley to the side fence?

    • @OtroNivelPadel
      @OtroNivelPadel  Před rokem

      To the fence it always difficult, you just have to make sure you can hit the fence. Maybe medium speed

    • @zepintoferreira8431
      @zepintoferreira8431 Před rokem

      Sven already answered but my own take: when can you even hit a fast volley to the fence? It's so hard to do that it requires the opponent's ball to be really easy, to the point where you would have better options anyway, like stepping in for a x4 or x3.
      Personally I only hit fence volleys from balls that are already below the net (so always slow with backspin) or block volleys played flat. Seem to do the best with the least risk.

      Thanks! Ja het is vooral erg fysiek geworden en je moet hard werken om de bal steeds in het spel te houden. Tactisch erg slim spelen

    I do not agree, Padel rallies will be getting SHORTER, because players are becoming BIGGER and much more physically prepared, real professional athletes. So as soon as your lob is not perfect you can kiss bye bye to the ball...
    So you think you will have to concentrate more on quality of shots rather than quantity (at very high level..)
    This drills anyhow are great, I would add one to train the defence where the defending player pushes the attacking player back and forth alternating chiquitas and lobs and the attacking players plays relatively simple and sound shots, to train the defence into moving the adversary and keep calm under pressure.

    • @OtroNivelPadel
      @OtroNivelPadel  Před rokem

      If the quality of the shots are improving; so will the quality of the lob. So those would be hard to smash. When smashing out of the court, you win 20% of the points.
      So if you want to finish the point you have to play the ball back to your own side. That would still be quite difficult to finish quickly. Let me check if we can get some stats somewhere

      @@OtroNivelPadel just look at the N1 couple now, Lebron and Galan. Are you sure that does not tell you anything? And if you think that those two are two monsters of the smash "a traersela" I will tell you that this is just the beginning.
      In a few years you will see better and stronger athletes than those two , who can hit unreturnable smashes on even more balls
      And if it was possible to consistently lob in a perfect way those two would not be number 1 now....
      But this is starting to happen "from the top", so while "in general" the length of the rallies might be getting longer right now, at the top level I expect it to get shorter and shorter, unless they severely lower the speed of courts... and then this will start to happen to the semi-pro level as well..
