  • Full concert performance of The Last Supper at Shepherd’s Bush Empire on
    19th November 2011
Steve: "This performance was the culmination of a tour that took over eighteen months to arrange and execute. To say I'll never forget it would be an understatement because I've never experienced such highs, lows and just sheer bewilderment, such a pressure of responsibility to do it right.
This last show was truly special which I tried to say at the end but I don't think there are words to describe what we've all been through.
Maybe the songs say it all.
I know the smiles, the tears, the hugs, the warmth that people gave me does.
A hundred thousand tons of love to you all.
    Steve Igs"

All the lyrics are ingrained in my brain after nearly 40years, this is still as relevant if not more so today. As a 16 old lad on the dole in the 80s Crass were so empowering when everything seemed so hopeless, i wrote them a letter to thank them and they replied by sending me a personal letter with lots of gifts, badges, posters etc, you wont see much of that these days. This band made me a better person. Love and respect to you Steve

Crass changed music and the world. I'm an American in the Midwest, I ordered the crass catalog of CD's in the mid 90's as a teen. I later read about them in English class in collage. It amazes me many people know so little about such a monumental band, and where many mod sounds come from...

CRASS was about love. All the anger, all the things that people thought were 'agressive', I mean...
All that came from a great sense of human, strong love, and from the frustration about all the things that would try to kill this love. Thank you Crass. Even if I don't agree with everything you said, at least you made me think for myself and make my own decisions. Peace.

I will always be grateful to Crass for lyrics that have powered me through to age 57 today. I had a flyer for a Crass gig that was supposed to happen in the Summer of 1983; they were scheduled to play with GBH in Los Angeles, CA. The gig was cancelled due to Crass being anarchists, and I heard their visas were revoked. My Sears steel-toe buckle-over boots with my homemade Crass stencils are still buried out at Bell Mountain, Apple Valley, CA. Many wanted to buy them when I took my punk "uniform" off---but I died "with my boots on," sort of. I'm pretty sure there are some rusty steel toes with no surrounding boot out there right now! Awesome show in Shepherd's Bush 2011---I was glued to the gig I had to wait for. Peace, cheers.

Yes, sadly the songs are as relevant today as when they were then. It is one of the reasons why I'm doing the IGNORANT TOUR.

This band you have is EPIC. Drummer, Bass, Guitar, and Carol are all EXCELLENT. Hope you're keeping the same group. This is absolutely AMAZING. SUCH a GREAT performance from each member. 💣💥🔥

I missed the original Crass line up by a couple of years. This tour was fantastic for me. The Gizz/Spike combination is always going to be a winner - 2 first class masters of their instruments. Carol is a force of nature & truly amazing. You were good too Igs, obviously like!

Crass was before my time, but I have to say I'm thankful I was introduced to them by older folks. The lyrics and sound hold up to this day, while younger bands that came way after have aged quick and become outdated.

I discovered Crass in 1989 and it was revelatory. Their lyrics were so prescient, they sound like a reaction to current events. I just shared the upright citizen lyrics with a picture of today's United States Supreme Court. I personally think Crass lyrics were probably the most important ever written. White punks on Hope has been my mantra for over 30 years now. Anyway, thanks for all those words. The music wasn't bad either.

I'm blown away by this performance. I've gotta say Crass was huge for me as a teen growing up in Southern California., And I know you've influenced many others one way or another. I'll bet Sleaford mods, Banksy, who knows how many others? Do they owe Crass a living? Course they fucking do-
