quick tip at 2:49 if you select "resampling" instead of "realtime stretching" then you don't need to manually change all your tracks from auto to resample mode

One is a waveform, one is a diagonal line, and one is a mini piano. Click the first one (the waveform) and you should see two options for z-cross and stretch. Make sure stretch is not selected and you should be able to extend audio clips without stretching the entire waveform :)
