His love for two-wheeled racing spans many disciplines, from west coast desert racing to east coast hare scrambles, navigation rallies to minimoto racing. He now lives in New Hampshire where his riding is focused on running laps on the woods course in his backyard and racing vintage Vespas and obscure European minibike at local kart tracks.

    Nice overview. Re: Helmet Guide, even though I always wear a helmet I keep this turned on because it usually functions as a nice little reminder for distance remaining to get to a US state crossing.

    The Environmental Zones option provides a warning that you are about to enter a region in a city where there are traffic restrictions, such as a time-of-day-based traffic prohibition or a required fee to enter the zone (aka a congestion zone/fee).

    A quick recommendation. First, good overview. You might show which button you are pressing in order to get the screen you are discussing. Right now, its a guess. Otherwise, nice Vid. Thanks.

    Great tutorial. I just got an XT2 and getting used to it now. Coming from a zumo 390 so big step up. If you don't mind I have one question. My very first Garmin would automatically re-route to the next waypoint if you skipped a waypoint. I've noticed on the XT2 and my 390 it won't do that. If continues to keep routing to the missed waypoint. How do we skip a waypoint so it will re-route to the next waypoint? TIA.

    Very informative. Do you happen to know if you are able to add in a stop time to a waypoint? For example if you wanted to add 10 mins into your planning for a fuel stop or similar?

      Great Question. I don't believe that is possible in the Zumo at this time.

    Thanks for the great overview. I live in Ontario and ride quite often in the US. I was using a Montana 600 and 610 for the past 12 years and was able to put the unit menu on the main screen. Is it possible to relocate it for easier assess, or do I have to all the way to the system menu every time to change the units? Thanks for your help.

    • @TouratechUSA
      @TouratechUSA  Před 5 měsíci

      The Montana units are VERY customizable but the Zumo series is designed to be much simpler to use. I don't think you can customize it that far.
      Thanks for the comment.

      Can you give me a time in the video that you are referring to? I might be able to explain it further if I know more specifically what you are asking about.

      I don't understand how you pullled up the Overview Screen at that point. You had just covered all lof the buttons on the main screen and suddenly you were on the Overview and I don't know what you did to get there.

    • @TouratechUSA
      @TouratechUSA  Před 7 měsíci

      @@stjoeguy55 Thanks. I don't have that unit in front of me at the moment but I am 95% sure that "overview" is accessed by simply panning on the map with your finger and pressing the zoom OUT button. Eric is talking about how you can accidentally get into this screen by bumping the GPS and you might only notice when you realize your arrow has ridden off the screen.

    verbose, this could have been delivered with less time.
    “hold it down to power down” as an example !
