Crash Twinsanity was released in 2004 for the original Xbox and PS2. Since the game first came out, it’s been loved by the community, as well as hated - more or less in equal measure. But why? A quick search on CZcams can find you a Crash Twinsanity speedrun due to its popularity and unfinished content making the game easily exploitable, and more people search for Crash Twinsanity music than the game itself. Yes, the Crash Twinsanity soundtrack is possibly more popular than the game it’s already in. In fact, I’m pretty sure the Crash Twinsanity theme is more popular than searching for Crash Twinsanity gameplay , or this video, a Crash Twinsanity review. At the end of the day, cut content aside, loads of people love the game, and just as many hate it for the same reasons people love it - gameplay and soundtrack. In this stupidly long video where I try being funny for like 39 minutes, I cross examine and joke about every single individual stage , world , level , gameplay style , controllable character , bosses , gem locations (okay maybe not, this isn’t a Crash Twinsanity walkthrough) and assess the million different gameplay styles mixed with the buddy cop direction of the plot to ultimately determine how successful the game was despite me not really enjoying a few of the cutscenes and bosses (in particular the Evil Twins. Eurgh.). People have asked for it for years and I finally got around to it for Bandicoot Month 2019 - here it is - my Crash Twinsanity review. After my Wrath of Cortex review ages ago, I hope the wait was worth it. It was a nightmare to make. Also yes, I did record Crash Twinsanity Xbox - not Crash Twinsanity PS2. It does cause the odd performance issue and slowdown but I think that’s a small sacrifice for 60fps over 30-50fps (PAL region TV’s weren’t at 60hz) and of course the best possibly visual quality looking at it through an Xbox 360. Which it didn’t have its share of glitches, but eh, it looks as good as I can make it since emulating it on PCSX2 and any other emulator didn’t work once for me (light glitches, shadows disappearing, more slowdown than the Xbox version etc).

Chaos89P i’m not sure if they can, but one thing i know is that the ps3 has a super hard time playing downloaded ps1 games. i have the original spyro downloaded on mine and it’s so so laggy but playing it on my ps2 works absolutely fine so ??

I've played this on multiple versions of the PS2 and never had performance issues, but when I tried to emulate the game on pc even the starting area had single figure FPS, Its definitely a console/computing environment thing

I never saw any slowdown on the PS2 version. I did get weird glitches though, game ain't polished.

As a person who played twinsanity, this game is unfairly rushed. If the game developers too their time adding fixes and the missing levels and other things it would have been a greater game!

I believe it was because of the deadline set, I read once that it was supposed to be released on Crash's anniversary. Idk, but I still love the game where it shines

Even with all its imperfections, this is still my favorite crash game
It's so damn nostalgic to me, especially the music.
I have a similar thought on Super Mario Sunshine. It’s my favourite of the 3D Mario platformers but it often gets criticised for being “janky” and “unfinished”. It still has a great aesthetic, unique enemies, good worldbuilding and a refreshing soundtrack.

Crash Twinsanity is like Sonic Adventure. It has multiple flaws & kinda feels unfinished sometimes but it still has many enjoyable moments that makes the game fun.

Then again, I won't say their pros and cons until I review these games. But these are bot the greatest games if the franchise, but closer to so than one of the worst.
Both games have charm and soul, and you can tell they had fun making them. SA1 was finished tho, it just happens to be rough around the edges.
And the gameplay style has a ton of potential.
I disagree, SA is awful in every single way, the only good thing was Knuckles voice actor becoming iconic to him and the last time we can hear him is in SH, something rather sad and unfortunate because his work was amazing for hearing Knuckles for the first time, Sonic is just irritatingly edgy, Tails is worse than sonic with his insufferable high pitched voice too annoying and patronize you to shit in later games. That said, Twinsanity is actually more fun and funny than anything in SA, both had it's fair share of flaws and broken elements but Twinsanity is nefarious for the amount of glitches, which simply ruins it, but no as edgy and annoying as SA, SA2 & SH.
yeah except that everything you mention is either story, or actors, or stuff unrelated to the gameplay
SA1 and SA2, are fun because of its gameplay, and sonics fast paced and focused platforming and level design makes it better than anything in twinsanity, twinsanity is just a mess in the gameplay department

It really would since if you have read into the game there was alot more that traveler's tales wanted to do but got pushed to release it early but also the old team has already said they would love to do the remake :)

I think they should totally remake this game. Give it the finished-state it deserves. We could get those levels that were unfinished and it could fix all the little sound errors and buggies. I really feel this game could be great if given a good remake. That's just me tho

There's so much potential in this game I'd love to see it remade along with the N.Sane trilogy and ctr. If you ask me, this game shows a good idea of how to further the crash series without just repeating the formula of the originals.

The ps2 version has way less technical issues, the Xbox version was almost a straight port and some hardware differences break the cutscenes and performance of it. For a mildly better experience, play the ps2 version, please!
I played the Xbox version and never ever experience performance issues like this. None of the cutscenes broke and there was no slowdown. I think it must've just been a problem with Caddy's disc or the fact that he was playing it in a drawer instead of an Xbox.
PS2 version has better lighting, but the Xbox one has better textures and the framerate is more stable.
@Mike Kobela Yeah I really think the problem was that, as he said, he played it on the 360, which is known to have issues with most backwards compatible games.
I highly doubt the PS2 version is better BTW. The Xbox is the more powerful machine after all.
