Yep. From what started as a passion project to a sad cash cow as demanded by Infogrames/Atari (because they ain't interested in those adventure games no more! They wanted games with big profits!) shows how completely awful of a company Infogrames/Atari really are.
Before there was Codename: K.N.D. and Craig Of The Creek; there was these kids!
And the Peanuts Gang and the Little Rascals long before them.
Makes me curious if a slice of life animated show with the Backyard kids sounds possible.

Yeah I'd say after the early 2000s than it went 🚢 wrecked My favorite of all of them were backyard football 99/00 Because I felt like it was realistic And it had the same players on the same teams, with some of the AI on there as well

Backyard Baseball on PS2 is one of my earliest and favorite gaming memories. These games are so nostalgic for me.
You should do a history of the cluefinders. My siblings and I adored those games and the backyard sports games both!
I marathoned the whole retrospective last weekend.

Such a shame in the credits of backyard skateboarding Randy Johnson didn't play the drums, cause in baseball 01, he said he liked to play the drums. And that Ahkmad and amir Sayed he could join there band.

My favorite was backyard football 99/00 It had that realistic feel plus the main NFL players were actually on their teams when you play Against them on the computer and the AI had the sane spots on their as well that was the fun part While the other sports like backyard soccer, for instance, didn't really do the same concept It just Mixed people are the same teams

I think the only one you missed here is the Plug and Play ports of Backyard Baseball & Soccer. Do Plug & Play ports even count though?
Wow I didn't even know That was possible but I did hear that it was easier to play on the internet or something like that with the same two teams I always tried it but it never worked

Are the 2015 games not on the App Store any more
The ps2 one from 2005 is the best one. It had good graphics , great gameplay, lots of replay value and still had that backyard charm. I still have it and played it so much as a kid
I never tried it before I got to check it out
I wish they would put these games on Switch or something, especially the old PC ones. Sucks that the company who owns the licensing for these games is just sitting on them not doing anything with the franchise.
